outstanding food, good vegetarian options, excellent curated wine list. visited May 2025. my beef diaphragm was excellent; marinated for hours, it was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. the pasta dishes were freshly made and also high quality. our table had a view of "the pass" and it was nice to watch the chef inspect the meals prior to departing the kitchen, lots of attention to detail. the staff are multi-lingual with at least italian, english and german spoken very well; reservations are highly suggested. Recommend.

Being residents of Lucca, we can say that without a doubt this is an amazing upper end restaurant and do not expect pizza. The service, quality of cuisine and price ratio are excellent. Highly recommend in every way possible. Wonderful dishes included acciughe fritte, polpo, patate, burrata e pomodorino confit, tagliata di manzo con insalata di stagione and artichoke.

It is certainly a good restaurant in Lucca, but if I really had to go back a second time I would not choose it again, since both the environment and the atmosphere are not those of a typical Tuscan tavern.
I found it quite formal.
At the beginning of the meal we were served bread and focaccia but without being able to do an oil tasting, as is typically done in Tuscany.
Friendly staff.
It has seating both outside and inside.
Prices normal.

Location carina ben gestita con il titolare molto affabile e orientato alle esigenze del cliente. Buoni gli antipasti con un neo alla zuppa Garmugia un po’ liquida. Ottima la carne e la lista dei vini. Prezzi nella norma.

Transition to July 2024.
Excellent food, excellent wine, interesting ambiance and decor.
Several rooms, the service was not very present in the one where we were. This remains a good address.

Siamo stati a fine dicembre in questa Osteria. Accolti dallo Staff e dal Padrone di casa in modo eccellente. Mangiare a dir poco spettacolare. Su tutto il baccalà cotto a bassa temperatura. Complimenti davvero. Bravissima la giovane ma sapiente Chef e tutto il personale guidato in modo impeccabile da Antonio. Grazie della bellissima serata che ci avete fatto passare.
