We came here once and decided that we needed to return for our last meal in Ortigia. Absolutely phenomenal pasta - the tagliatelle dish was literally a ratatouille come to Jesus moment for me. Lobster pasta was also insanely good. And whatever that dessert was drenched in liquor was TOP! Great service and cute, unpretentious atmosphere. Gracie!

The family-run Osteria da Seby was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B where we were staying: never could a suggestion have been more precious and fitting. From the first moment, we were greeted with a genuine warmth, the kind that makes us feel welcome guests and not just customers. The attentive and thoughtful service was simply impeccable. The restaurant, adorned with evocative three-dimensional paintings that seem to come to life, bursting forth from the frame, captivates the eye and creates a lively and engaging atmosphere. We savored the dishes of the most authentic Sicilian tradition with genuine enthusiasm, allowing ourselves to be surprised by the intense and harmonious flavors. The fried seafood was memorable: dry, perfectly golden, fragrant, and prepared with the freshest ingredients. It's not a place you stumble upon by chance: you have to know it or hear about it. And the fact that it's frequented by locals is perhaps the best guarantee of its quality. The final discovery was delicious and unexpected: a taste of Amaro Amara, a handcrafted product made from an infusion of Sicilian PGI Blood Orange peels grown on the slopes of Etna and wild herbs. An intense, fragrant sip, capable of capturing the soul of Sicily. The fondest memories resurface when they have left a lasting impression. And although some time has passed since our visit, just thinking about it rekindles vivid emotions. An experience that can be summed up in a single adjective, valid both for the location and for that final bitter taste that caps it all: "Unforgettable."

Last night at Osteria di Seby in Ortigia was one of those dinners you don’t forget. The carciofi ammuddicati were pure Sicilian soul — simple, authentic, deeply flavorful. The linguini allo scoglio tasted like the sea itself, perfectly balanced and incredibly fresh. Paired with a beautiful glass of Sicilian white wine, everything just felt right. Warm service, honest cuisine, and that magical Ortigia atmosphere. Grazie for an unforgettable evening. I’ll be back. 🇮🇹✨

Excellent place, I highly recommend it. Located in a small alleyway away from the historic center, the atmosphere and waitress were very friendly.

I seldom give five star but I had to go twice to this place. The service is excellent and on both occasions I had the cod which was sublime. Fresh fish elevated to an unforgettable experience, simple, elegant and sublime. I tried a few other dishes and were all delectable. Amazing.

Great food. Attentive and unobtrusive service. Artichoke appetizer and braised beef did not disappoint. Caponata and Branzino were more than acceptable. Cheap and cheerful local wine. Cute cat.
