Gourmet dishes. For Christmas Day, when everyone has a set menu, at Seby I found a wide selection, with an à la carte menu. Excellent food, excellent service. Now, in 2026, I've found a wide variety of new dishes, all increasingly delicious... 💯

A typical family-run Osteria with a small, typically Sicilian menu. It's an experience to sit and take your time in a place like this. The stuffed anchovies as an appetizer were delightful and surprised everyone. My pasta, alla Siracusana, was wonderful.

Visited Seby – L'Osteria on our first night in Ortigia, and it set the tone perfectly. The atmosphere was cozy and rustic, creating a warm, romantic vibe, and the service was both friendly and professional. Tried one of my all-time favorites — Linguine alle Vongole — and it was exceptional: fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of clean, briny flavor. We had an absolutely incredible Sunday lunch here. They serve fresh seasonal dishes in November, and since the menu updates seasonally, I'm sure they present the best of what's available whenever you visit.
While early in the season, the Carciofi Ammuddicati (artichoke hearts) were delicious—topped with crispy breadcrumbs and served in a decadent, more-ish Pecorino cheese sauce. The oranges in the Insalata di Arance (fennel and orange salad) were deliciously tart and juicy.
For our pastas, the Cacio e Pepe con Gambero was out of this world. The Spaghetti alla Siracusana was a delightful, rich mix of anchovies and peppers, which melted down into a rich savory sauce, finished with toasted breadcrumbs, and served with perfectly al dente pasta. We were very happy to choose this restaurant for our one "treat ourselves" meal in Sicily. It was 100% worth it.

We ended up eating there by chance, the menu was, as is typical in Sicily, quite focused on seafood and the prices were reasonable. The food was good, the service friendly, and the staff communicated fluently in English.

The guide recommended it to us, and it was fantastic. We had pasta with clams and baked sea bream, both delicious. The sea bream that morning was breathtaking. The fish of the day. Well cooked. The service was very friendly and warm. The atmosphere was discreet, elegant, yet warm. We didn't try the desserts because we weren't hungry, but the cannoli and tiramisu looked amazing.

Excellent cuisine, among the best in Ortigia, if not the best. Hospitality, kindness, and helpfulness of all the staff. Four stars only because I feel the number of people in the dining room is insufficient, given the crowding, justified by the taste of the place. The staffing issue is becoming a real headache for everyone. The cuisine is in top form, with tasty and unique dishes, even in their presentation, truly tasteful. Don't miss it!
