Osteria da Mualdo is a charming restaurant located in a historic farmhouse in the village of Crespi d'Adda (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). High-quality Italian cuisine and select ingredients combine to create elegant and well-balanced dishes. Excellent food, very nice location. The service could use some updating. From the way silverware is placed on the table to the way customers are served without giving priority to women... to the lack of service from the girls who seem forced to work instead of doing it with pleasure. In short, it would do little to improve the quality of the service.

Beautiful restaurant: it's a local gem. Refined food, top-notch service, and a quaint location. Not to mention that it's located in a town (Crespi d'Adda) that's beautiful to explore on foot to digest the meal.

For lunch on September 26, 2025 The cuisine is impressive, with excellent and beautifully presented dishes. The ambiance, both inside and in the garden, is wonderful and invites you to linger. The service was overall adequate, although it could be improved in terms of professionalism and friendliness. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant with room for improvement in terms of service.

I had high expectations for this restaurant, but it left me completely indifferent. There were two of us, and we ordered four appetizers, two first courses, a portion of patanegra, two portions of roasted porcini mushrooms, and two desserts. I'm listing what we ordered because none of these courses impressed us. I also found it unsuitable to have ordered roasted porcini mushrooms and received sautéed porcini mushrooms, which were also tasteless. We told the owner that perhaps there had been a mistake, but she replied (without any embarrassment) that the roasted ones were sold out... as if I'd ordered Roman-style artichokes and been served Jewish-style ones... absurd! As for dessert, I can only comment on the tiramisu... here too, a story about an ice sphere with coffee and a sweet cream inside, I think mascarpone breaded with crushed biscuits... nothing special! The service was very unsympathetic; the chef who came to the table to assemble the appetizer didn't say a word, not to describe the dish he was preparing, nor out of courtesy. In this restaurant, there's a lot of talk about the menu and little action...it's a long way from being a star! Of course, the bare minimum is guaranteed: the basic ingredients are more than good and the bread is excellent. For the level I expected, the price would have been fair, but for what they offer, it's expensive.
