Osteria da Moreno In Gallio

At the Osteria da Moreno in the center of Gallio you can eat reasonably well. The pie with speck, mushrooms and asiago is good, while the duck fettuccine is not very tasty. Homely and friendly service. Mountain environment, comfortable place: the cowbell attached to the ceiling and the heart-shaped and bell-shaped light bulbs are characteristic 🐄

Small cozy place with few dishes but all excellent and choice of wines. Good value for money

We stayed in Gallio for a week, and two or three times we went to dinner at Moreno, who does everything himself during the week and is organised, friendly and efficient. Excellent food and wines. We tasted the fettuccine with duck ragù, the colt steak, the platters of cured meats and cold cuts, the Vicenza-style cod, the side dishes. All really excellent and recommendable. The paired wines were also perfect. One star less only for the prices, which are a little high. To stay within the "canonical" 35 euros each, either you take just a first course or you take a first course and a second course for two... However, a pleasant and recommended place 👍

I went to dinner with my family this evening. The owners were kind and friendly... the food was excellent, we will definitely return...

We were on a MTB and we stopped just for a parmigiana... sublime! It's a shame we couldn't taste anything else because you can't cycle with an overly full belly but this means that if we pass that way again...

Andati su consiglio di un amico autista, siamo arrivati in questa osteria davvero ruspante (come piace a noi) accolti dal sig Moreno con la sua simpatia e cordialità! Abbiamo preso un antipasto di salumi e formaggi, 2 pasticci con funghi e speck, un piatto di baccalàalla vicentina, una bottiglia di vino rosso, 1 caffè ed una grappa: 90€! Li valgono tutti: tutti piatti buoni, abbondanti! Dopo aver pagato il conto ci ha anche offerto un altro giro di grappe! Posso solo consigliare questo locale e sicuramente ci torneremo dovessimo ripassare da quella zona

Pranzo in due di ritorno da un'escursione alle Melette. Preso una porzione di pasticcio con Asiago speck funghi e un piatto di tagliatelle agli asparagi, accompagnato da rosso della casa. Cibo ben fatto, ambiente rustico, servizio efficiente e alla mano, conto adeguato.
