Recommended! The review could end here, but I still want to recommend the squid ink and pasta with sardines from this menu. An old-fashioned restaurant with experienced staff. There's no phone coverage in the alley, but good wifi is available. I rarely get three 5-star ratings, and here they all are.

Nice little osteria in a quiet area of Ortigia. We had a great time with excellent food (grilled anchovies, clams in spaghetti, mixed grill). House wine is very good too. The service was friendly and efficient. They let us take our time with placing orders and we sincerely felt they appreciated our being there. Not always the case in many restaurants, especially when the owner is absent. We try to pick restaurants where the owner is actively involved in the business. It makes a difference.

Tucked away on an alley, this restaurant might be easily missed, but it is definitely worth a visit. In the sea of trendy sameness that seems to have taken over in Ortigia, this is an old style gem. Folk art, family friendly, good food and great service. When you can still get house wine in a carafe at a fraction of bottle prices, you know things are changing slowly. Great find.

Durante la nostra vacanza ad Ortigia presso questo ristorante abbiamo gustato un ottimo pranzo di pesce accompagnato dalla cordialità e simpatia di tutto il personale.

18/09/2023: A fishmonger in Vieste recommended this restaurant to us because I have gestational diabetes and therefore I was looking for a suitable restaurant. We first called to ask for information and book. The two of us ordered an octopus appetizer, troccoli with seafood, grilled vegetables, grilled fish, a coffee, a bitter, a water and two glasses of rosé, we spent around 80 euros. Well-prepared and well-presented dishes, friendly and attentive service. Beautiful location both inside and outside.
