Great atmosphere. Discovered by chance while hiking. A real hidden gem, I'd say. Located right at the top of Limone. Superb food. Excellent service. They even had open fireplaces lit. If possible, walk there. Limited parking. We were there right after they opened, around 5:30 pm. Small but excellent menu. I recommend the original wine. The beef fillet and tagliatelle with fresh mushrooms were absolutely delicious...

We were encouraged by the many positive reviews to eat at Osteria Da Livio. The ambiance is cozy and rustic, the service friendly, but the food was a disappointment: we had pasta with porcini mushrooms for our primi piatti and grilled chicken for our main course. The pasta was okay (but nothing more), but the chicken was extremely dry (of course, poultry needs to be cooked thoroughly, but this was more than enough). Unfortunately, we both had mild diarrhea the following night (neither of us are prone to gastrointestinal problems), most likely from the meal, as it was our arrival day, we had breakfast at home, and hadn't eaten anything on the way.

I was hoping to get a good Italian spaghetti carbonara there. Unfortunately, it was a real disappointment. The sun hadn't let me down, so the spaghetti was too hot when I got there. The bacon wasn't the right one either.
I expressed my displeasure right away. Even though I wanted to pay for it, the waiter removed it from the bill.
Hence the 4 stars for service.

We had a lovely evening. Unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation, but we still managed to get a seat outside. (Reservations are recommended.)
The atmosphere is very nice. The food was delicious. The steak was top-notch.
The burger was also delicious. We especially liked the fries, which were nice and crispy and well-salted.
The service was friendly. The price/quality ratio was reasonable.
