This tavern was a tasteful discovery in Ceglie! Small, intimate place furnished with the flavor of tradition. We are greeted by the warmth of the owner and his staff, hospitable and friendly. Genuine, quality products make up the menu. We had the appetizer to start, ten specialties they tell us... from cured meats to cheeses, sweet and sour vegetables, meat carpaccio, roasted caciocavallo, breasts... a riot of flavours. Another house specialty is the donkey stew, I recommend it together with the homemade orecchiette with chop sauce. Honest and kind service, they advise the customer based on hunger, not to sell dishes. To conclude, a homemade tiramisu, Ceglie biscuits with homemade bitters. Last but not least in terms of quality is the house wine, spectacular! A truly pleasant experience with the flavor of Puglia!

Very rich starter with different hot and cold dishes to share (€13 per person), excellent and generous portion of grilled meat. The restaurant is located in a quiet secondary street of Ceglie Messapica. The waiter very kind and helpful. Special and clean environment!

Pay attention to the bill... there is no clarity

Eating well in Ceglie is easy, but you don't always find the ancient flavors and the welcome we were given. Let's start with the service. The waiter was considerate of our dog and offered us a bowl of water. The small place was full but the drinks (wine and water) were served immediately along with taralli, bread and tomatoes. Zero downtime. The owner's wife then makes broad beans and chicory that are truly traditional to Cegliese. Spicy ricotta, sweet ricotta, Capicollo Martinese, Breasts, etc. A really good appetizer. Abundant mixed grill. If you have never tasted bombette I recommend you take this dish. Sweet. The creme brulee is very good, but the technique needs to be improved. Liqueurs. Very tasty limoncello and digestive liqueur all to be discovered. Price...too low Mr. Giuseppe. We paid 30 euros each. The quality of traditional dishes and such exceptional service deserves higher prices!
