Osteria Da Gino In Venezia

One of those places where you feel right at home... The wine, the cured meats, the atmosphere... we also tried their Angus tartare and were blown away. It's a shame you're not in Granada (Spain), because I'd be a regular customer... Thank you!!!

We are not from Mestre, we discovered this place by chance and it was a nice surprise if it were not for the 500km that separate us I would have been your regular customer I hope to enjoy your cuisine again congratulations again

A very popular Venetian osteria with good food and friendly service.

Best food on our trip. Gino made sure everything is good and it really was. My reccomendation is Patta negra pork cheeks in sauce with polenta and beef liver a la veneziana, which I eat very often at home. Both plates where incredibly good, I enjoyed the dinner very much. The place has charm and vibe of a proper osteria. Staff is attentive, lots of locals are visiting here so you know its not a turist trap or some fancy scam. All in all that was a win evening all around! * I forgot to mention on tiny little thing that one should not be fooled. He has staff from asia, which are very polite. Some will find this not appealing and not in the picture with a proper italian osteria, but believe me, I had plenty bad meals, (some where horrendous) in a italian osterias and restaurants that had domicile italian cooks and waiters that where shouting "mama mia!", but in the end we got garbage on our plates. The owner was really keen and checked the tables and the kitchen to see if everything was good. Something every owner should do. We will be back for that veal liver 👌
