We were there this evening for the first time and found a typical rustic setting where we tasted typical Roman dishes, abundant dishes and a good quality/price ratio, I highly recommend it.

The place is small, but very welcoming; there is an internal room and a covered external one. The boy who served us did so the whole time with a smile and was very kind. The dishes are good, the carbonara truffle ceremony and the fried vegetables (tasty and not greasy) are recommended. Excellent value for money

Excellent place osteria da checco We ordered the Roman saltimbocca with mixed vegetables, a specialty not to be missed, try the desserts, we had the tiramisu and it is the second best of my life... beautiful, very characteristic place, the only advice is to go around 1.30/2.00 pm if you go for lunch because we ate alone in the restaurant and many dishes were not ready yet...GO THERE

Buon ristorante tipico romano vicino ai musei vaticani, piatti gustosi sevizio cortese e puntuale, abbiamo preso dei primi preparati in maniera impeccabile.

Perfetto per chi vuole vivere l’esperienza di un’osteria romana tradizionale, con piatti semplici ma buoni e gustosi. Abbiamo assaggiato la classica amatriciana e la cacio e pepe: spettacolari! Cena conclusa con un ottimo tiramisù “casereccio”, come giustamente ci fa sapere direttamente il cartello del locale. Personale cortese e gentile, locale rustico ma davvero piacevole. Consigliatissimo se si vuole provare una vera cena romana!

25/05/2025: It seems touristy, but the pasta is really good. It's the third time I've been back and I've tried all the different dishes. The first courses are really good! Highly recommended :)
