The food we got was well made and tasty, especially the cod. The rice lacked a bit of character, but maybe that's how it should be done. The service is genuine, sometimes even too much so, in the sense that they brought us a pepper grinder with the premise that it doesn't work (....).
Beautiful and characteristic environment; however the table is a bit dark, it would help a lot to have those lamps on the table, which are very popular today.

Lunch with friends, we were able to taste some of the typical Mantuan dishes. Well done to the chef who was able to convey his passion in the culinary journey.

A very suggestive traditional place, especially with regards to the very well-kept and pleasant internal courtyard. Traditional Mantuan food, in some cases with some interesting twists. The second courses are excellent, the desserts are very good with particular reference to the bice soup, a "powerful" dessert. Fairly accurate service, very friendly and helpful staff perhaps with slightly longer waiting times than expected also taking into account that the place was crowded but not very full. Overall however everything was very good and so we will definitely return.

A place recommended by those who hosted me during my first stay in Mantua: every time I pass through the city I stop for at least one lunch or dinner. It happened in the past that I drove an hour and a half to Mantua just for dinner at Bice La Gallina Felice. Friendly service and really good food.
If you are passing through the area, but not only, a stop is highly recommended.

Un locale dal sapore alternativo, quadri alle pareti dalla venatura esoterica. Molto declinato alla veranda.
