As soon as we arrive at the bar the waiter immediately seats us (a very kind and polite person), takes our order and in less than ten minutes we are served. Compliments for the fabulous breakfast croissant and cappuccino.

We popped in for dinner one evening based on the amount of positive reviews read on Tripadvisor and the proximity to our hotel. We also wanted to have good seafood. It’s a small restaurant near Piazza Municipio, but easy to find. As we entered, we were pleasantly struck by the decor of the restaurant, just as it’s described online. The restaurant has a familiar and a bit old-fashioned (in a good way) look and feel but this is one thing that we loved about it. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but we were promptly seated at a table indoors and offered the menu. We also liked that the tables had proper fabric cloths and napkins (as opposed to paper ones) which made it look even more traditional. There were 2 waiters (in proper waiter uniforms) constantly running around to serve the clients and an older gentleman who turned out to be the owner, Mr Antonio. We chose steamed mussels for starter and they were the juiciest, largest and tastiest I have ever had!! For main courses we had grilled calamari si grilled mixed fish, plus mixed vegetables as a side to share. Everything was very tasty and the portions just the right size as opposed to other restaurants where they are just enormous and impossible to finish! Since I had room for desert this time, I decided to go for a slice of strawberry cake which was absolutely divine!! You could tell that the fruits were fresh, they smelled and tasted sooooo good!! 😋 We had a bottle of local white wine which was good and refreshing. The prices are very decent. Mr Antonio was participating in taking the orders and serving at the table along with the waiters, which was admirable in my view. The atmosphere in the restaurant was quite entertaining due to the playful behaviour of the staff and the owner towards clients, particularly those who were struggling to understand and/or speak in Italian or even English. Mr Antonio was correcting the English of some foreigners at a table just because he was having a hard time to understand what they were saying. But all this with an understanding smile on his face all the time, nothing suggested arrogance, it just felt that you were in school where Mr Antonio is the teacher and the clients were the students. None of the concerned people got upset or felt offended, on the contrary, at the end, when they were about to leave, it looked like they and Mr Antonio parted as good friends, shook hands and everyone had a smile on their faces 😊 That evening was an unforgettable experience, we will surely go back to this place (and hope to still find Mr Antonio there) if we return to Naples! 😊 If you want to live an authentic Neapolitan experience, go to see Mr Antonio, eat and spend some time in his cosy restaurant and you’ll feel at home! 😊

The Coffee was great and staff was nice

I loved the typical Neapolitan products, rich in variety to satisfy all customer tastes. Adequate prices: I had a babà, a pasticciotto, a hazelnut puff pastry and a cappuccino for only €9. I highly recommend
