My friends and I were lucky enough to discover this place with a warm and family atmosphere. We really appreciated the host Angela and also her all-female staff. Right portions, variety of choice and flexibility for vegetarian and vegan diets!
On a very positive note, Angela talks about her menu practically for miles. 0 and own-produced preserves. We had a really good time, we will return very often to drink the very special laurel liqueur.

Having come across this by chance during a tour from Mugello to Bologna, we had lunch in this Osteria with its traditional, home-made atmosphere and flavours. Angela welcomed us and pampered us as if we were family. Delicious first courses, crescentone, cold cuts, wonderful sauces and side dishes. The gardener is simply fantastic. Personally, I felt like I was at my grandmother's house, with a human warmth from times gone by. A lunch and a place to remember. An experience definitely worth repeating. A big hug to Angela and her wonderful collaborators.

Capitati per caso durante un giro dal Mugello a Bologna, abbiamo pranzato in questa Osteria dall'ambiente e dai sapori tradizionali e casalinghi. Angela ci ha accolti e coccolati come fossimo persone di famiglia. Primi deliziosi, crescentone, affettati, salse e contorni meravigliosi. La giardiniera semplicemente fantastica. Personalmente, mi sono sentito come a casa di nonna, con un calore umano d'altri tempi. Un pranzo e un posto da ricordare. Un'esperienza sicuramente da ripetere. Un abbraccio forte ad Angela e alle sue splendide collaboratrici.

In viaggio verso Bologna per L'Appennino tosco-emiliano ed alla ricerca di una trattoria tipica ci siamo fermati alla Trattoria da Angela a Roncastaldo (Loiano). Ci siamo trovati benissimo localino accogliente con cucina casalinga e una buona crescentona. Personale gentilissimo ed è stata l’occasione per comprare anche i loro prodotti tra cui buonissima la giardiniera. Da tornarci

If we hadn't bought a used piece of furniture in the Bolognese Hills, we would never have discovered a "proper" tavern.
At Angela's, in Roncastaldo (between Loiano and Monghidoro), a fairytale place near the splendid bell tower, the food is divine.
Angela's friendliness and cheerfulness can already be felt on the phone during the booking phase. The attention to the customer is aimed at the satisfaction of every single dish served and if you want crescentine you will be surprised by the giant crescentones.
Excellent cured meats accompanied by gardener in oil rigorously made by the house as well as plum and pear jams and super hazelnut (also buy two packs) together with local flours ground in the local mills.
Excellent quality/price ratio.
We will be back soon to taste other specialties.

Excellent traditional cuisine with a twist of creativity in a small village in the Bolognese Apennines. All homemade raw materials starting from flour. The crescentona is worth the trip. Mrs. Angela is an attentive and kind host. Super recommended!
