Typical Venetian restaurant, awesome! For our birthday, they made us a special cake with 1 candle. I recommend the Valpolicella Ripasso red wine. Decorated with Murano glass fish mobiles!

This place is charming indeed, and the staff is friendly. However, I wouldn’t say they were attentive enough: they didn’t provide a wine list initially and we had to ask twice for the check.
After reading other reviews, I realized I made a mistake by ordering pasta. I chose the octopus pasta — a highly disappointing experience. The sauce was simply bad, with a strange mix of ingredients that didn’t work together.
My husband wasn’t as disappointed with the taste of his pasta, but he wasn’t satisfied with the portion size compared to other restaurants in Venice.
So, I’d still suggest this place, as long as you don’t order pasta.

On our first night in Venice at the Palazzio Veneziano hotel we walked round the corner and found this restaurant . We had no booking so waited a short while for a table to become available and had a lovely meal. Warm and welcoming atmosphere in a small family run restaurant and it is no surprise that it was fully booked. It made the ideal start to our holiday in Venice.
