From auntie...when she calls you on the phone and says "my beautiful auntie, don't ever come visit me, you'll be wasted"...and you run, with a boyish huff, go find her, otherwise your mother will follow you like a disgrace! Auntie rings and opens the door for you, with her neat and tidy face and says, with a hand on your cheek, look how you've turned out, my beautiful auntie...but do you eat at your mother's? Well then, come on, as if there were no tomorrow...go down and eat...that's how you feel when you eat at Bonelli's.

It was recommended to me by Amici… and I have to say, very good. We had 2 first courses and 2 second courses. Tonnarelli alla gricia, gnocchi with sparerib sauce, Bonelli sausage and saltimbocca alla romana. The gnocchi were very good… it seemed like grandma's classic sauce, the tonnarelli were good, but they didn't convince me at all 💯 Apart from the fact that I think the mezze maniche are better alla gricia, the pieces of whatever they were were too big (I exclude it was guanciale). But that's not the problem. Pecorino is already fatty by itself, why drown the pasta in "guanciale" fat? At home I do it too, for goodness sake, but it's one thing to use it to season pasta for 4 people, another for a mini portion of pasta. It practically floated on the plate! Too much! Moral of the story, after lunch I didn't feel very well. Saltimbocca were the best I've ever eaten and the sausage too, very good!! The interior is a bit spartan… but I don’t have to live there, just eat… so it’s fine. Minimal but clean and tidy. Cool because it has an open kitchen! Clean bathrooms… stocked with toilet paper and hand soap (maybe one with a new dispenser, it wouldn’t hurt). The only flaw, the electric dryer on the wall is painfully slow! Overall good, I would definitely go back. They don’t have real menus… but a blackboard with the dishes of the day marked. In any case 47.50 including cover charge + bread (3€), water and a quarter of house wine. A grandmother who cuddles you and stuffs you with so many good things, until you get up from your chair with a barrel-shaped panzotto! It’s okay! Recommended!!

Typical trattoria, just how I like it. The cuisine is excellent, the service is impeccable, the management of the large number of users is to be admired, all this explains the people who wait outside despite everything. I confirm the 5 stars, but I want to point out the fact that it is quite difficult to find them on the phone, even during weekdays and at the times indicated (tel. not reachable). It's not very correct, despite its popularity.

I went to this tavern for the first time thanks to some friends who already knew it and now for me it represents a point of reference, a "must", when I decide to eat the typical Roman cuisine that I personally adore: home-made dishes and, above all, very tasty. The place, rather welcoming even if not particularly noteworthy, is always very crowded (I strongly recommend booking in advance) and, despite this, the service is fast and efficient. As soon as you take a seat at the table, the friendly waiters come to you, bringing you a blackboard with all the delicacies of the day written on it (in chalk!), so we can say that the menu is rather varied and variable from time to time, practically impossible to review in detail. A special mention, however, goes to the fried foods and the burrata with anchovies. The only sore point, if we want, is the parking which, considering the area in which the place is located, is always a lottery!

The food is very good, congratulations on the cooking. The atmosphere would be nice, if it weren't for the fact that the tables are too close to those of the neighbour. Poor service: rushed waiter. It's a shame because the meals are delicious.

Da osteria Bonelli, la tradizione culinaria romana come una volta, piatti tipici, abbondanti e di qualità, in un clima conviviale. Vero punto di riferimento della romanità e del..romanismo !!

Tornati a cena in 8 locale strapieno e ordine molto articolato.Non hanno sbagliato nulla la perfezione nel servizio.Ragazzo che ha preso l'ordine 'tufello" simpaticissimo e bravo.Cibo tutto buonissimo e mega porzioni.Bonelli na garanzia su tutto
