We went to this place for dinner and had a great time. The food was high-quality, traditional Bolognese, but served in a very modern and unique way. What we liked most were the mini appetizers, for those who want something tasty but don't want to fill up before the main meal.

We had amazing time and we were really full afterwards. 3 friends shared what you see in the photos with 3 glasses of great wine (and water and cafe). 30€ more or less per person. The food was amazing and fresh. The portions were big and in general the food was really tasty. The service was quick and the atmosphere was cozy. I would love to go again.

A restaurant with more than fair prices for a central location. We ordered a varied platter of cured meats and cheeses, served with crescentine and focaccia, all very good. As for the first courses, we ordered several since there were so many of us, and they were average. The only downside was the tagliatelle with ragù, which didn't look great, and that reflected their flavor, but they were passable. The only downside was the cotoletta alla bolognese, which was extremely moist, the breading falling apart immediately, and the cream was too thin; the Parmesan cheese was barely noticeable.

Very nice place, although a bit small and with tables close together. We had a platter of excellent cured meats with crescentine, a very good lasagna, and the Bolognese cutlet. We skipped dessert because we were so full! The staff was friendly and fast.

The food is good, and the drinks are even better. A nice, informal place, with a small room downstairs that they use for parties.

While in Bologna, I returned to this restaurant with my daughters. This time I had dinner. The portions were excellent in both taste and quantity. The staff was very friendly. That evening, they told us it was their fifteenth anniversary, and before we left, we were given a sweet gift.

16/01/2026: A hidden gem worth finding!!! Wonderful meat and traditional dishes, served with the warmth of authentic Bologna. The pasta is absolutely divine. A thrilling menu and a selection of Black Bay gins to fall in love with.
30/12/2025: Wow! An absolute gem in Bologna. Don’t be fooled by how unassuming this place looks from the outside. The food here was outstanding. Without exaggeration, this was the best meal we had in Bologna and honestly across all of Italy. If you’re looking for truly traditional Bolognese food, this is the place. The handmade tortellini were beautiful — delicate, rich, and clearly made with so much care. Every dish we tried was exceptional. The service made the experience even better. Everyone was so lovely, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel completely at home. They were incredibly accommodating and clearly passionate about what they do. A must-visit if you’re in Bologna - can’t recommend Osteria Black Bay highly enough.

22/12/2025: Trattoria Tedeschi: A GUARANTEE! Trattoria Tedeschi has always been synonymous with quality in a family-friendly atmosphere! We had tortellini in broth (delicious), a tender and juicy 1.5 kg Florentine steak, artichokes, and baked potatoes as a side dish. There were two of us. All washed down with an excellent Ca di Cesari Sangiovese Riserva, a perfect pairing for tortellini and Florentine steak! We had a great time, as always! The service, as always, was very kind and attentive! Antonio
