Very good and special dishes in a well-kept place. Varied menu where even 'classic' dishes such as vitello with tuna sauce are revisited and made truly unique and succulent. Off-menu dishes also available.
Very kind and smiling staff.
I recommend it for anyone who wants to have a real culinary experience without risking being disappointed.

Ne è valsa la pena fare più di 100 km per festeggiare il nostro anniversario.. da Cigliano un profumino di delizie ci ha guidato fino a Voi. Grazie gemelli, Ottimo pranzo da leccarsi i baffi e fare la famosa scarpetta con il sugo degli agnolotti Impeccabile e attento il servizio. Che dire di più speriamo di tornarci presto e intanto lo consiglio a tutti voi.

Fun dining in the former train station café in Tortona
The Billi brothers opened a gourmet restaurant four years ago in the former pavilion of the train station café in Tortona, which is located in a park.
They were born in Tortona and have traveled the world to perfect their craft under great chefs in starred restaurants. After stints in Tokyo, Vietnam and Milan, she returned home.
In a cultivated, modern, feel-good atmosphere, Allessandro Billi combines down-to-earth traditional regional cuisine with the sophistication and flavors of creative gourmet cuisine. He achieves this perfectly in his menu Derthona, which consists exclusively of creatively interpreted traditional Piedmontese dishes. He also offers different seasonal menus, the courses of which can be combined. He calls it "fun dining" and was recommended for it by the Michelin Guide - the way to the stars doesn't seem far to me.
The young service, led by Filippo Billi, is exceptionally friendly and we felt welcome and well looked after from the first minute.
A nice gag: On the well-laid tables there is a porcelain mask in which a starter is later served. A clear tomato essence is served in the upturned mask, into which the server then drizzles a seasoning oil using a pipette.
The unusual "drink" from the mask perfectly stimulates the taste buds.
We tried Onion-Evolution and Agricultural Tartar.
The Piedmontese classics were prepared creatively and aromatically.
The onion was served as a mousse with anchovies and smoked herring instead of a filling and the famous tartare was prepared with nuts, nut oil and sweet and sour vegetables - that was the finest pure aromatic cuisine.
The crispy, fried, juicy, tender pork belly with apple cream and vegetables was perfect. The quality of the meat was outstanding and the flavors of the ingredients resulted in a finely balanced taste experience.
Rabàton, a typical ancient dish from the province of Alessandria, are dumplings made from ricotta, eggs, parmesan,
herbs and breadcrumbs. Alessandro Billi makes it with 5 wild herbs and Dijon mustard - here too, strong flavors dominate the regional classic.
The well-known Piedmontese dessert Bunet was prepared with a creative interpretation by the chef. Chocolate, caramel, milk cream and fleur de sel gave the popular chocolate pudding a special kick.

Here, the traditional classic dishes, which are excellently prepared in all restaurants in Piedmont, were creatively interpreted and aromatically prepared at the highest culinary level.
The question of whether there is a need for gourmet and star restaurants in Piedmont due to the excellent cuisine that can be found everywhere can be answered with a clear “yes” after visiting Billis. Here, very good regional cuisine becomes sophisticated aromatic cuisine: fun dining.

Non conoscevo questa osteria/ ristorante che è stata una piacevolissima scoperta . Merita, a parer mio, il punteggio massimo perché ineccepibile per più aspetti. Ottimo e ben studiato il cibo , ottimo il vino, gentilissimo il personale e piacevolmente curato il locale. Il personale attento anche al bimbo di 3anni che era con noi. Bravi

Dinner with friends, everyone was happy. Extremely welcoming place in an enveloping and elegant atmosphere without becoming pretentious. You can see the attention to detail that makes the difference in the room as in the dishes. The bathroom is a cuddle. Well-trained and professional staff. Good wine list.
I recommend trying the experience.

Found this place by chance, going out from the train station. I was not expecting such a delightful cozy atmosphere, great food, excellent service and good wine choice. Highly recommended it, we will be back
