On a hot and sultry Sunday in August, we decide, with a little notice, to spend a few hours in the lower Reggio Emilia area between Campegine and Castelnovo di Sotto.
Beautiful room with veranda, air conditioned obviously, and heated if necessary, but the outdoor area for cool evenings or mild mornings is equally inviting. Well-executed dishes, even for the most demanding palates. Starters, first and second courses both from sea and land, limited menu, symbol of a careful search for raw materials and a preference for the seasonality of the products. Personally, I tend to avoid restaurants where it takes you no less than 3/4 of an hour to read the menu and you're the first to ask what's on offer other than what's on offer. The owner Dino, an expert and wise sommelier and friendly host, knows how to carefully advise you and direct you in pairing the wines with the various dishes. Leave a corner for desserts which are always a very welcome ending.

Excellent experience from all points of view. The respect for the raw materials, the atmosphere of the tavern, the great competence of the owners ensure that the time spent at Baccabianca is pleasant for the palate and beyond. High level products, expertly cooked and elaborated but never betrayed in their nature and essence. Essential menu, always well studied, fresh and seasonal elements, with some off-menu items. Excellent and varied list of wines, which can accompany all dishes, both land and sea, up to desserts and some fine gems in the spirits. Commendable note for the homemade first courses and desserts, but the friendliness of the innkeeper is not secondary.

Nice discovery by chance, tuna carpaccio, tuna steak and calamari really, for me obviously, tasty and well cooked, very good at pairing with vegetables.

Beautiful location, particularly attentive staff in compliance with the covid rules. Discreet menu of land and sea. English soup for 10. Medium-high prices. Mezze penne with tomato sauce for girls €12 (I hope the owner was accidentally mistaken...)

The staff is amazing! Very kind and serving a good experience.
The dishes we tasted were just incredible.
The children ate the pasta with ragout and I ate the pasta with sardines. The fish fry was wonderful!
Thank you for this impromptu stopover to go to Greece!

Pranzo con i colleghi sulla veranda avvolti da un clima perfetto, leggermente ventilato e persi in mezzo al (quasi) nulla. Servizio impeccabile, attento e rigoroso ma senza essere oppressivo o insistente. Antipasto di salumi e formaggi con gnocco fritto, dosi non troppo grandi ma buona qualità e gnocco fritto come cucina comanda. Di primo tortelli di patate con asparagi e pancetta croccante, uno splendido mix di sapori che unisce delicatezza a vigore, morbidezza a croccantezza, davvero ottimi. Ho chiuso con un dolce molto classico, una sbrisolona (una torta secca alla mandorle di origine mantovana e molto diffusa anche in alcune zone dell’Emilie) meravigliosa accompagnata da zabaione. Il tutto annaffiato da un buonissimo bianco. Alla fine ce la siamo cavata con 42€ a testa (in 6) e considerato che di bottiglie ne abbiamo stappata più di una è un prezzo tutto sommato in linea con quello che si vede normalmente in giro, ma qualità e menù sono sicuramente sopra la media nel far rivivere, a modo loro, la cucina emiliana. Da ripetere.

Locale accogliente, il cibo è ottimo. Personale gentile e preparato. Abbiamo pranzato il giorno di Pasqua I loro cappelletti in brodo sono buonissimi. Eccellente la faraona al forno.
