We had the most incredible dinner last night at Cancello dei Macci. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by Lory and Chris who are so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is perfectly decorated and you feel like you walked into a cozy Tuscany home which makes perfect sense because it feels like they are cooking for you as if you are their closest friends and family. Everything we tasted was authentic and delicious - just perfect. The chef is incredibly talented and it shows with every dish he makes. If you are in Florence you absolutely need to add this place to your list! ✨

She instantly puts you at ease and creates a pleasant, family-like atmosphere. The food is excellent, with quality ingredients and attention to detail. Even as a vegetarian, I found several tasty options, which I greatly appreciated! The place is small and welcoming, with a warm, authentic atmosphere and excellent value. We returned twice in three days… that says it all! Highly recommended for anyone passing through this area of ​​Florence. ❤️

Excellent restaurant a few steps from Piazza Santa Croce, beautiful classic typical Tuscan atmosphere, very good Florentine steak as well as the side of baked potatoes, excellent service, friendly staff, I recommend it as a restaurant!!

My partner and I went to this restaurant twice. The first time, we were charmed by the decor and the music. The quality of the food was exceptional: perfectly cooked octopus, a melt-in-your-mouth Florentine stew with perfectly balanced flavors served on polenta that was a true work of art, and an airy tiramisu with a banana brownie that was surprisingly light. The delightful staff welcomed us back with big smiles for a delicate and creamy risotto that wasn't heavy at all, and the best piece of meat I've ever eaten (fillet with bacon and truffles). A must-try in Florence.
