I have to say that although the opinion is not very positive, they gave us a place without booking and I appreciate it. I think he doesn't deserve the average score he has or at least he didn't show it to us. Neither the pasta nor the meat are at the level of other restaurants in the city, I think they have a lot to improve. Desserts are flavor. The attention was positive although the waiter, wanting to be funny, was not correct in some comments. I wouldn't recommend it

We went for dinner, and it was the best dinner we had in Florence. We ordered a Florentine steak, spectacular. The wine and dessert very good. A highly recommended restaurant.

A pleasant discovery in Florence. Truly beautiful and evocative location. Friendly staff, helpful and capable of giving the best advice. Mixed appetizers and delicious Ciccia! Really highly recommended

We came the evening after Christmas day, it was a bit of a walk to the east side from city center and well worth it. Loved the decor! I did not get a chance take down the name of our waiter/host, he was super kind and attentive. We enjoyed a great meal. One thing of note is wine list for the size of the restaurant. First time drinking IGT Toscana/Super Tuscan, we loved it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal, especially the famous bistecca alla fiorentina!!

A wonderful experience, we tried the old gate 2 for Christmas lunch and what can I say?!? We were pleasantly surprised. Beautiful, well-kept and clean location, the service provided by the owner was truly impeccable, kindness and friendliness. The food was excellent 💯. The boys of Rome

21/12/2024: Stayed here during our 10yr anniversary trip. Great staff and easy to get around from this location. Highly recommended.
13/12/2024: The Hotel could easily be 5 stars. Spacious and tastefully furnished rooms, very kind staff and a lot of attention to the cleanliness of the room and common areas. The only negative note is that the bathroom does not have a heating system. I recommend finding a solution because in the winter it is not pleasant.
