A very intimate and private restaurant in the center of Isola dei Pescatori, far from the hustle and bustle of boats ferrying tourists back and forth. Upon entry, we were greeted by the staff, especially Pina, the owner, with a big smile. The restaurant doesn't overlook the lake, but it does have a lovely internal courtyard that allows you to eat al fresco in a peaceful setting. As Pina says, "The lake is all around, here you eat," and indeed, the food here is truly delicious! Excellent food; I recommend the lake specialties, especially the pike-perch. Everything was wonderful; I'll definitely be back! Absolutely love this gem of a place on Isola Pescatori! My friend and were were touring Lake Maggiore for the day and took a boat to the island where your restaurant is located. She googled and found this special place. We had our own little outside balcony with beautiful, calming views of the surrounding area. The service was fantastic! We loved our sweet waiter, Ivo. We also spoke with another of the wait staff (I've forgotten her name); she was so kind. She also introduced us to the Chef because the food, the food...amazing! We both chose the day's special of ravioli with fish. Everything was fresh + melt in your mouth. Highly recommend Osteria Ara36 in every single way - and hope to return one day!

A real pleasure to find a high-level restaurant with excellent raw materials on the fishermen's island, not at all touristy. There is a very well-kept internal garden and it is cool in the summer. Excellent service, able to recommend dishes of the day based on the raw materials available (of excellent quality). Linguine with clams and Ravioli with fish are spectacular.

Great little restaurant, fresh produce, close to the lake, Isola Pescatore, small shaded terrace behind the restaurant, really cool. Very friendly and professional service, reasonable prices, in short, highly recommended.

We arrived without a reservation and were very well received by the server. The dishes were delicious and the price/quality ratio was excellent, especially for a tourist spot like this. The recommended wine of the day was delicious!

Entrada comemos tartare de peixe, primeiro prato carbonara e segundo prato Lucio (peixe) com vagem e maionese. Sensacional!!

in gita sul lago maggiore ci fermiamo qui x mangiare, in quattro io e mia moglie, mio cognato e mia cognata, l'idea e' mangiare cose locali invece mia moglie e mio cognato fritto di mare, mia cognata cacio e pepe solo io ho preso un filetto di luccioperca(spero di averlo scritto bene) comunque tutto buono filetto eccellente e speso il giusto. servizio e cucina ottimi. consigliato.
