Osteria Ammangiari In Leonforte

Just wonderful. My great-grandfather was from Leonforte, and so it was a must that we visit there during our Sicilian vacation last weekend. This place was recommended by our driver, and we loved it. The waitress was very helpful and patient with my limited command of Italian. We had a traditional meat and cheese antipasto, then I had a pasta dish with anchovies, followed by a delicious veal dish, and cannoli to top it off. As an Italian-American, it all reminded me of the kind of food I grew up with. I’m so glad we went here.

Really good food. Noone speaks English, but that poses no problem to order food here. The two ladies who run the place were great and took great effort to make sure we order food we'd like. The whole experience was very much eating with locals rather than a touristy place. The only thing that would improve it is maybe some music playing for the atmosphere but other than that, everything was fantastic.

Everything was delicious, the price was very fair. We were passing through and stopped in by chance. The girls were very kind and hospitable.

We found this place by chance on our Catania-Palermo route. Kind and friendly staff, good food, and a pleasantly rustic and well-kept location. Highly recommended... but who was Tania, after all?

A group of friends and I visited this restaurant on our motorcycles. The place is very nice and welcoming, the staff is kind and professional, the food is excellent, the quality is unquestionable, the portions are generous and delicious, and the quality of the meat is superb! I recommend it!
