A wonderful discovery! We ate divinely and had the pleasure of hearing anecdotes about Codera in the company of Roberto and Elena. It's worth the effort to climb!

The food was excellent. The rooms were excellent: I was with a group for New Year's Eve, and some were lucky, some less so. That said, I take my hat off to the enormous work they do to keep the Codera Valley alive.

Wonderful people. Very generous casera parcels with sage butter. Soft and tasty baby goat and very unique sliced ​​potatoes. Artistic plate of delicious three-toned tomatoes. Excellent English with the tourists. I'll be back for the promised chestnut tiramisu. Thank you. Much appreciated. Hugs.

This is my third time in Codera. Last time, I had a great meal at the Locanda at the entrance to the village. This time, we tried the Osteria Alpina. Two plates of chestnut flour ravioli, filled with I-don't-remember-what with chestnuts, drizzled with well-toasted melted butter and plenty of Parmesan: delicious! Next, a sharing platter of mixed cheeses for two, somewhere between savory and spicy, accompanied by four types of native tomatoes from the garden in front of the inn: sorry for the Dutch, but their ramati tomatoes can't be called tomatoes at this point... A sbrisolona filled with blueberry compote: nothing like the Mantuan sbrisolona; this one is thicker, softer, and less sweet. A chocolate and chestnut tart, accompanied by excellent whipped cream. Two large espressos (the cups were really large, and the espressos really long, just what was needed to help the dessert slide down the sides). Two bottles of water, a quart of excellent, "slippery" wine: it slid away in a flash! €56. Cracco, I'm sorry, but the local chef(s) (Elena, the one who made the sbrisolona, ​​I don't know if there were other chefs) give you points. They offered us their kindness for free. They accept cards and even Satispay... they're ahead of the game!

15/02/2026: What an experience! Recommended by a friend, four of us stopped for a very hungry Sunday lunch. We were welcomed with friendly hospitality and rediscovered the flavors and values ​​of the mountains: handmade dishes, generous portions, and fantastic service. The grand finale was with the owner who delighted us with his complimentary sweets and amaro! A must-stop every time we pass through Madesimo from now on!
