Osteria Al Portone In Milano

Excellent. The risotto with ossobuco was phenomenal. The atmosphere you're looking for in a regional osteria. Congratulations.

A small restaurant with unique, vintage decor. You need to be patient with the service, as it's slow. We were on time for our reservation—there were only one table in the dining room—yet we waited about half an hour for the menu, a quarter of an hour to order our main courses, and another half an hour for the first course. I'd say it's too long. The dishes are delicious, like the mushroom risotto (a generous portion), the potato gnocchi, the ossobuco, and the vast assortment of homemade desserts (all very good). The wine selection is varied.

We had dinner at the Osteria yesterday. It was our first time there, and we found the place after reading reviews on Google. There were five of us and we ordered: - three antipasti from the host (hand-sliced ​​local cured meats, vol-au-vents with cream cheese and hazelnut praline, nervetti, warm bean salad, and caramelized red onions) - a portion of snails and polenta - two risottos with ossobuco - an off-the-menu pasta dish with white vegetable and pancetta ragù - a risotto with porcini mushrooms and a crepe with baby vegetables and mushrooms - three slices of cake, one with apples and chantilly cream, one with warm dark chocolate, and one with double chocolate and red berries - two bottles of red wine - a coffee - two barrel-aged grappas and an amaro - several bottles of water We spent slightly less than two hundred euros, which, considering we were in Milan in a not-too-out-of-the-way area (Bicocca) and everything we polished off—and I say polished off because it was all truly delicious—is really very little. I'd like to focus on the beauty of the place, which has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, well-appointed tables, soft but not overly so lighting, and tastefully furnished corners to explore. But above all, I'd like to praise the precise, kind, and helpful service of the owner, who runs the Osteria with his wife (the chef! And what a chef!). He made us feel pampered and welcomed in a family-like but not overly so atmosphere that made everyone in our small group feel at ease. I truly recommend it, even though I know I'd be sad to call and not find a table because of this review! Thank you!

You can feel the true flavor of tradition. Hearty, truly delicious dishes. Family-run, a place that makes you feel truly at home, even if you're from the deep South. Recommended for those who want to eat well, without spending a fortune.

Very good place, there is traditional yellow rice on ossobuco, as good as the one my grandmother used to make!

Ottima Osteria a MIlano, con un gusto retro' e affascinante. Accogliente e personale gentile. Servizio senza sbavature e le tempistiche delle portate concertate nel segno del relax. Il risotto con ossobuco eccezionale e ottimo Menu' in generale con piatti del giorno. Dessert fatti in casa con scelta davvero notevole. Bravo Massimo il ristoratore che con garbo accompagna ul servizio. Ci ritornero'!Ambiente curato.

Non conoscevo questo ristorante ma ne sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso. Eravamo 3 adulti e abbiamo ordinato: 2 taglieri – circa 10€ cad 1 risotto con ossobuco – circa 20 € cad 1 gnocchetti allo zola – circa 10€ cad 1 risotto radicchio e zola– circa 10€ cad 1 bottiglia di vino – onestamente non ricordo il prezzo. Acqua No dolce e no caffè L’ambiente è adatto a cene tranquille, è contenuto, i tavoli sono pochi e raccolti. Non lo vedo adatto a bambini. Tipica trattoria milanese con prezzi ragionevoli (e questo è ottimo visto il periodo). Personale discreto, non invasivo, ho apprezzato. Zona tendenzialmente con parcheggio o raggiungibile facilmente con i mezzi. Tornerò.
