Good vibe, great services. The foods are quite good too.

Nice place to enjoy local tapas. The prices were very varied and the food was very good. If you want tapas you can eat them at the bar, while if you want restaurant service there are tables. I recommend the first and try some of them.

3 aperol spritz and white spritz for 15.50€, you do the math. The glasses were not very big, but the aperol spritz was well balanced! The place is nice and cozy, away from the tourists. We did not try the food, but it look good! Staff was friendly as well.

It's a tavern. Few seats in an informal atmosphere. Menu on a blackboard. Well prepared typical Venetian food. Fast and courteous service. An advantage is that it is not a typical tourist restaurant of which Venice is full.

Osteria Al Portego is one of the institutions of Venice. Every now and then, working in the surrounding area, I can't resist popping in there. Located in a small square that comes alive at busy times, the tavern has an intimate and welcoming interior. Its simple, no-frills decor recalls typical Venetian taverns, creating an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. On my last visit, I ordered: - Parmesan lasagna with aubergines - Shrimps in saor with polenta - Mixed frying with battered vegetables All accompanied by a couple of lager beers. Each dish was exquisite, thanks to the mastery of chef Davide. He is a very nice person who loves chatting with customers, asking for opinions or simply exchanging a few words. The staff also deserves praise: from Omar to Chicca, from Lorenzo to all the others who were not present that day. I highly recommend Osteria Al Portego, not only for the quality of the food but also for the hospitality and humanity of the people who work there. It is one of the few places that remains faithful to true Venetian cuisine.
