We returned to San Daniele after a year, but we wanted a different venue, and this time we ended up here. It's a beautiful, quiet place with a traditional feel. The staff is helpful, kind, and attentive.
The prosciutto certainly met our expectations (if not better), while the other dishes, while good, left something to be desired. We expected them to be a bit more generous, even from other users' photos. Nothing to criticize about the staff, but if you see the other dishes a bit fuller than yours, you'll have to ask yourself a few questions.
The bill was perfect: perhaps a little less than we expected (we've been to four Borghese restaurants by now, and we even tried to guess the bill).
The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the authenticity was evident on the palate.
Recommended (but you'll have to ask for larger portions to get the ones in other people's photos).

Passing through San Daniele, we couldn't resist trying the famous prosciutto. We chose this osteria, where we enjoyed an excellent prosciutto platter accompanied by two good glasses of wine. It's just steps from the Duomo and open all day, making it very convenient for those of us passing through. Excellent value for money.

We were in the area for work, and went for dinner on a Monday evening as soon as we arrived in town. It was a pleasant stop for a bite to eat. The dishes were very tasty, fresh, and carefully prepared. We had tagliatelle with venison ragù and gnocchi with Gorgonzola, plus two delicious roast beef fillets accompanied by tasty potatoes. We finished with their tiramisu, which was a blast.
The white wine (Friulian) and the house red were also very good.
The service was quick, attentive, and very personable.
