Show! Where to eat real Friulian cuisine, with the menu on the wall written on blackboard! Dishes rich in flavours, abundant and with a homely atmosphere! Experience to be repeated... when you're not on a diet or to indulge 😉

A rustic but very welcoming environment. The friendly without being intrusive staff takes care that nothing is missing. I had dinner with dishes from the Friulian area. What can I say.....a delight. The Friuli plate with cured meats and cheeses is recommended. The portions are more than generous and the bill definitely within reach. I give many compliments to the management.

While visiting Udine, we tried to eat here around 7. Walked up place was empty except for 4 people at 1 table. Asked for a seat in English as we don't speak Italian and we're just passing through. The hostess simply shook her head and said full and what we gathered was reserved in Italian. Maybe the 4 people were having a Mafia dinner and reserved the whole place we don't know, but it didn't feel right. Food looked good, but we will never know. So we went down the road and got something at Ristorante Santa Chiara. It was delicious!

Osteria vera. Piatti tipici friulani anche molto particolari. Bellissimo il menù scritto su una lavagna. Abbiamo 2 mangiato piatti di salumi, formaggio e polenta assai buoni e abbondanti. Ottimo il frigo con polenta. Non siamo riusciti a mangiare altro, troppo pieni. Prezzo onestissimo. È la seconda volta che ci andiamo quando passiamo da Udine e non siamo rimasti assolutamente delusi.

The food is good, with a traditional daily menu which is shown on blackboards. The place is small and the tables are a little too close together for my taste. Friendly service but a little slow. Suitable for a lunch with friends, less as a work lunch break. Better to book.

21/01/2025: Excellent food and service! Unfortunately, it is not possible to book in order to accommodate the huge turnout, but the 40 minute queue was completely repaid! We had 2 appetizers and 2 fish first courses, it was all really very good! Once seated, fast and attentive service, as they say "war machines" The idea of ​​having sweets at the table once dinner is over is very nice. Compliments!! I couldn't recommend a better place in the center of Lignano (August 2024)
