One of the best osterias in Udine, offering traditional dishes at excellent prices. A welcoming place, the food is consistently good. It's the perfect choice for both a lunch break with a hearty plate of pasta and a dinner with some Friulian dishes (the frico is highly recommended). The crostini, meatballs, and all the side dishes are also delicious. The entire staff is extremely friendly, and every time you return to Il Marinaio, you feel a little at home. Please, never change!

I'm pleased to share a few words about this atmospheric Italian restaurant, which definitely stood out from the others we ate at during our stay in Italy. From the moment you walk in, its decor captivates you – the interior is decorated in an authentic, old-world style, full of warmth and charm. The perfect place for a quiet, atmospheric meal. We ordered pasta with ragu, and it was truly excellent – al dente, prepared with high-quality ingredients, with a sauce full of flavor. For dessert, the tiramisu was a hit – light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Another big plus is that we weren't charged a coperto, which was a very pleasant surprise, especially since it was standard fare at most other restaurants. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for true Italian flavors in an authentic setting and with a genuine approach to guests.

Great place, I recommend booking a table in advance because the "locals" come to eat quickly. The prices are also attractive. P.S. house wine on the bill for 1 euro

A very authentic, solid restaurant. First-class cuisine. Simple but top-quality. Great value for money. Definitely not a tourist trap. Highly recommended!

We went one day at 7:30 p.m. They told us no, everything was done through reservations. And they weren't very friendly. We booked based on reviews for the next day at 9 p.m. And they gave us the cold shoulder. We had dinner. We ordered two beers while we were thinking about what to eat, and it took them 30 minutes to bring them. The food arrived a little later. The waitress was averagely friendly. The food was good. Two dishes, two beers, and a bottle of water, €30.

Osteria dallo stile rustico molto carina, con travi di legno e menù scritto su una grande lavagna. Piatti abbondantissimi e gustosi, tipici del territorio e ben spiegati dai gestori. Frico consigliatissimo, come pure i primi piatti ed i taglieri. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

Merita veramente una cena .... cercavamo una cucina tipica Friulana...fatta con amore e con passione e l'abbiamo trovata, servizio e accoglienza ottima, cucina molto buona , abbondante e un rapporto qualità/ prezzo ottimo. Bravissimi.
