Excellent place with revisited cuisine. Impeccable service. Good choice of dishes and excellent choice of wines.

We tried the longest tasting menu for the early lunch. We loved the pumpkin starter, mushroom risotto, ricotta mousse and orange wine underlined with amazing energy of lady waitress. (They really chose a right person) . We started eating on our own in the whole space but shortly it was a full house. Sometimes we had a feeling that the potential of some meals wasn’t really squeezed to 100% but the beautiful decor and vibes of this non really touristy place made our day unique. Next time we would go for dinner instead of lunch 😊

We arrived here after a selection of a few places proposed by 5 friends, a kind of Restaurant League. Osteria al Gigianca won. And we were happy that he won.
We arrived at 8pm after making a reservation which I would say was necessary given that after half an hour everything was full, an easy and precise system, with reminder emails and SMS.
We decided to do the Identità tasting menu route. As wines we chose the Franciacorta Rosé Natura 2019 at the beginning and the Mazon pinot noir afterwards.
All the dishes were delicious, personally I have a preference for the giant sheep tartare, the free-range chicken liver ravioli with spring onions and the veal sweetbreads.
In honor of the saying: your mouth is never tired if it doesn't taste like cow, we took a look at the menu and tasted the cheeses, and here we had great appreciation for the historic rebel (bitto! But you can't tell).
So sweet, magnificent, coffee and, for three of us, coffee killer: Formidable bitter, very fragrant, and Rhum La Perle, white, never tasted and really good (who knows if it was due to Gigi's suggestion, but you could really taste the truffle). All in 3 hours spent comfortably and with a final cost of €475, an absolutely fair price for quantity/quality/kind and always attentive service/comfortable place/not too far in the center and therefore easy to find parking nearby.
To return! And highly recommended.

Dry environment. Very kind staff. Short menu (❤️) with excellent raw materials. Delicate sheep meat. Truly delicious Bergamo salami. Duck cooked perfectly and to my taste excellent combination with tobinambur. Nice wine list

Intimate place, not too big.
Relaxed, familiar atmosphere in a place with attention to detail.
The courses are all apparently simple, with roots in the typical cuisine of Bergamo, but upon tasting they reveal themselves to be sophisticated, balanced and tasty.
The flavors always have the right balance, consistencies always well studied and dishes made modern with always perfect combinations of ingredients.
The staff were very kind and always available.
First choice wine list.
The only "negative" note is the parking, we are in a central area of the city and finding parking can become a nightmare.
A place that I recommend to everyone, for all occasions.
The two of us spent €154 with starter, main course, dessert, bottle of wine (€50) and a glass of Port.

Best restaurant we ate at in Bergamo. The food, the service and the atmosphere were all fantastic. Especially enjoyed the pumpkin starter. The risotto was also really good, as was the ricotta dessert. Fantastic wine list as well, and the pairing recommendations we got were spot on. Definitely worth visiting when staying in Bergamo!

Slow food osteria, also present in the Michelin guide. A tavern that I really liked and that I absolutely recommend trying.
The venue is elegant, but knows how to put guests at ease. Excellent welcome for the little ones.
The menu, which includes some slow food products, is extremely interesting and uses many obsolete ingredients.
Excellent cuisine and service.
I really appreciated the “Bergamasca Giant Sheep Belly, cream with rye bread and turnip greens”.
The wine list is very appreciable, in which there is no shortage of local bottles or a wide selection of natural wines.
Price increases below average.
Recommended without reservations.

A lunch the way I like it, where farmyard animals know how to cook well, and good Bergamo sheep's belly
