Today, on our way back from the Agira Outlet Village, we stopped at Al Canale in Valguarnera. It exceeded all expectations: macaroni with pork sauce and wild fennel, tripe with potatoes, and to finish (for a treat instead of dessert) a macco di fave (a soup with fava beans)... A warm welcome and great courtesy.

Small local restaurant with very affordable prices and a very warm welcome. I had pasta with zucchini cream, pistachios, and local saffron for €13; it was really good. The cream was just a little heavy (for my taste). The dessert was very light, and it was also good.

Ci fermiamo a Valguarnera di passaggio e troviamo un locale old style molto grazioso. Piccolo minimal ma molto accogliente. Ti rilassa e ti mettono subito a tuo agio dandoti le giuste attenzioni. Ordiniamo antipasto dello chef con prodotti locali ottimi, il primo del canale fresco e gustoso nella sua semplicità e per finire la tagliata che si scioglie in bocca. Grazie e arrivederci.

09/12/2025: Incredible hidden gem! From the outside, it looks like just a small doorway, but inside it’s an absolutely wonderful restaurant with delicious food. It was my first time in this town, and it turned out to be such a great experience. We had an amazing meal and a fantastic time. Highly recommend this place!
05/12/2025: Excellence in Sicilian first and second courses prepared with quality ingredients. Excellent, friendly, and attentive service. Definitely worth a visit!
