Welcoming place, very friendly staff, and excellent service. The appetizer was rich and tasty. The macco di fave (a soup with fava beans) takes you back to the flavors of times gone by. The tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffles was balanced. The veal tagliata was masterfully cooked, tender, and delicious. An experience I absolutely recommend and will repeat.

Today, on our way back from the Agira Outlet Village, we stopped at Al Canale in Valguarnera. It exceeded all expectations: macaroni with pork sauce and wild fennel, tripe with potatoes, and to finish (for a treat instead of dessert) a macco di fave (a soup with fava beans)...

Small local restaurant with very affordable prices and a very warm welcome.
I had pasta with zucchini cream, pistachios, and local saffron for €13; it was really good. The cream was just a little heavy (for my taste).
The dessert was very light, and it was also good.
