Osteria Agnese In Macerata

I've been to this restaurant for dinner and lunch on two consecutive days, which shows how much my family and I appreciated the good food and the friendly, attentive service! The young woman who welcomed us on the first night explained the typical dishes very well, and a special mention goes to the waiter (Giovanni?) who looked after us on subsequent visits: truly friendly and engaging, we hope he fulfills his dream of running on the Great Wall!

A restaurant serving local cuisine with a wide selection. Very simple in style, like a true osteria, but exceptional in variety and flavor. We stumbled upon it by chance while passing through Macerata, and it was a very good choice. Affordable prices.

Very nice Macerata-style food. We have the cold cut and cheese, vincisgrassi (the Macerata-style lasagna ), Veal with tune sauce and tiramisu. My fav was the vincisgrassi. The server were extremely helpful and friendly and i love the atmosphere of the restaurant

Mrs. Agnese is a force of nature. I've been working at this wonderful family-run Osteria for 50 years, and she still gets excited when she manages to make a customer happy. I was the customer, and upon entering, I asked her if a vegan could eat there, and I admit that when she reassured me, she was absolutely right. The Osteria welcomes you into a simple yet warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service staff is kind (true kindness, not affected) and attentive to the customer's needs, seemingly able to suggest the right things for you. The dishes are exquisite. As a vegan, I had a plate of spaghetti, a bite of radicchio, followed by exceptional mixed side dishes, all made with fresh seasonal vegetables (broad beans, artichokes, herbs, and then grilled eggplant and fricantó). The price makes you want to go out for dinner every night. Highly recommended.
