Returned a few years later for a birthday, and Mattia and his staff were always the same kind. Pici with hazelnuts and cocoa were sublime, as were excellent main courses, and the snails were amazing. A quiet and relaxed atmosphere for lunch in the beech forest. Keep it up!! See you soon!

One of the most beautiful discoveries of my life... Taking advantage of the beauty of autumn in the wonderful Amiata, we stopped in this idyllic place by chance. It couldn't have been a better choice!!! The entrance doormat alone had convinced me, a Hollywood-style setting. Mattia, the "host," welcomed us with a smile for an evening that will remain unforgettable. With all the calm, kindness, and verve on this planet (it's increasingly rare to find such hospitality), Mattia explained the dishes and helped us choose, accommodating even the most difficult requests. The quality of the dishes was excellent, the price truly fair. I rarely write reviews, but this place, in that context, deserves a poem!!! See you soon!

A very pleasant experience! A true Osteria with a capital O! Checkered tablecloths and red wine by the glass! The owner, a very nice guy, hospitable and engaging, and the staff were very kind! The charcuterie board with cheeses was very tasty, the soups were very satisfying (we love chili peppers and these had some), and overall, we had a great time. Our Béarnaise beef, which was welcomed in the best possible way 🫶🏻

We return often and always with great pleasure and satisfaction to Mattia's to enjoy authentic dishes prepared with excellent ingredients. We have been loyal customers for years at this delightful osteria, where the food is excellent and excellent value. The young staff is very courteous and attentive, even on the busiest summer days. The restaurant has a typically mountain feel...an Amiata refuge! I recommend the appetizer platter, the first courses with strictly handmade pasta and topped with different sauces, and among the second courses, the stews and chicken, cooked differently depending on the day, are excellent. Yes...because here there is no fixed, repetitive menu; there are different dishes every time!!! Don't miss the Seggiano ricotta with chestnut jam for finishing. Always book on Saturdays and Sundays!!!

What a lovely surprise! We had lunch here by chance and loved it so much we returned the next day during our short two-day vacation. Everything was delicious, especially the pasta, which is homemade and topped with a generous, flavorful ragù. We also enjoyed the stew, in both pork and beef varieties, and the ricotta served with chestnut jam. Excellent value, and the service was excellent, thanks in part to the friendly staff. We'll be back!

Locale stile baita in legno immerso nella natura, accoglienza eccellente: il ragazzo che serve ai tavoli ci ha spiegato nei dettagli la preparazione dei piatti proposti ed i sapori che ne scaturiscono. Una vera scoperta la zuppa di pane, gustosissimo con una punta di piccante. Ottime le tagliatelle salsicce ed asparagi e le salsicce con fagioli all'uccellina. Consigliatissimo

Siamo andati a mangiare in questo ristorante su consiglio del proprietario del bb dove alloggiavamo. E non finiremo mai di ringraziarlo per averci fatto conoscere questo posto magico dove la cura e l'amore per ciò che si fa si sente in ogni piatto proposto dal simpaticissimo Mattia. Ci siamo sentiti a casa e le delizie mangiate si sono sovrapposte alle risate fatte tutti insieme. Torneremo presto all'Amiata che ci è rimasta nel cuore e l'osteria 101 sarà la nostra prima sosta!
