I went for lunch on a Sunday and particularly appreciated the quality of the ingredients, the deliciousness of the first courses, the wide selection of wines by the glass (at least 12 options), and the warmth and expertise of the host. The only thing that could be improved was the wait between dishes. For some dishes, we waited more than half an hour, but I justify this wait by the fact that the host is alone in managing the dining room.

On our way to the port of Civitavecchia, we were looking for a good place to have lunch near our itinerary. But that's not the criteria for arriving at Oste Scuro! You have to come here specifically! Excellent food. Excellent ingredients expertly prepared. Respectable wines. And, last but not least, attentive, friendly, and professional service. Don't miss the opportunity to go!

26/12/2025: I had a great time. I had the gnocchi with a saffron sauce and the Chiusdino sausage. It was delicious. The atmosphere was calm and very friendly. I don't understand what people are complaining about. And the prices were fair. I'll be back for an aperitivo. 😉
05/11/2025: Cleanliness, hospitality, and quality = professionalism A key ingredient for success. Stefania is a winner and has a very capable manager. What could be improved? The male staff lack empathy for the environment they work in: cold, never smiling, and lacking vivacity. The baristas' attire needs attention. The outside area is a bit cold, in my opinion. I don't remember if it's there, but the door leading to the back of the lab should be closed. I was distracted by Stefania's eyes and smile.
