We stopped by chance...excellent cured meats...even the meat...but the tagliatelle with ragù was a spectacle!! The service was kind and courteous!!

Everything was delicious, a traditional Tuscan/Maremma restaurant. The owner was very friendly. The restaurant could be improved due to its limited seating; I recommend making a reservation to ensure a seat.

This place deserves 7 stars. The pappardelle con ragù is at least as good as in Bologna's best restaurants, if not better. Truffle dishes without truffle oil. Brilliant antipasti. The dishes are classic, but couldn't be better in this style – everything is homemade and to perfection. The wine list is (contrary to a previous reviewer's claim) excellent, with greats like Produttori del Barbaresco and Lageder, often not the current vintage but already beautifully aged. Thanks to Coravin, there are also a variety of Tuscan wines by the glass. The desserts (some with Valrhona chocolate) are accompanied by excellent sweet wine recommendations. The waiter is knowledgeable and provides insight into the background of the dishes and ingredients. Anyone expecting frills and frills is in the wrong place.

After leaving Grosseto, we were hungry and stopped just off the SS1 in this little village. The place wasn't very attractive at first, but once inside, we were surprised by the courtesy and welcome. The excellent wine list was served with particular attention to the temperature (it was summer and a scorching 36 degrees outside), using steel cubes to make the wine pleasant. Then the tagliatelle were homemade, porous and al dente, with a PERFECT ragout. For pure indulgence, we ordered the fries made with real potatoes. Truly a gem of a restaurant.

Mangiare all’Oste Scuro è un’esperienza, sicuramente i punti vincenti di questo ristorante sono la qualità assolutamente pregiata dei prodotti e la grande esperienza del proprietario che con calma parla di ogni singolo piatto in modo da far comprendere profondamente al cliente quanta passione e cura ci sia dietro. L’ambiente è accogliente e molto tranquillo. Altro punto s favore è l’ampia selezione di vini, ovviamente di qualità. “Dulcis in fundo” i dolci, da provare.

Piccolo ristorante vicino all’uscita della via Aurelia. Trovato per caso. Gestito da marito e moglie hanno circa 20 coperto. Tutti prodotti fatti in casa. Cucina tradizionale ma di livello molto alto. Qualità e quantità nelle porzioni a prezzi veramente competitivi. Da non perdere
