Always the top. Exceptional hospitality and service. Warm family place and above all divine food. Extraordinary preparations, attention to ingredients and particular combinations deserve a lot, you can see and deduce a lot of passion on the part of the host and the cook.
A place I return to regularly with great pleasure and highly recommend.

Excellent lunch with Tony the owner who made us feel at home. The long and rich starter is worth the trip but everything is of great quality. Trust Tony with confidence and follow his advice, even for wine.

Local located among alleys of the medieval village of Maranola in Formia. The typical rustic tavern interior is characteristic: at the entrance there is an ancient millstone with tables arranged around it. The walls have exposed stones, and then arches and wooden beams on the ceiling. All enriched by details and various objects of rural and peasant life. The menu consists of simple and homemade dishes and includes a wide variety of dishes from appetizers to desserts. The food is extraordinary, their exquisiteness is the result of the high quality of the raw materials. The idea of serving coffee at the table with the moka is very original. It recalls that air of conviviality typical of Sunday family lunch. The staff is very friendly and attentive to customer needs. The innkeeper deserves praise, as in addition to describing every single dish in detail, he is very competent in everything relating to wines and their pairings. And then it makes you feel at ease and feel like you're at home. In conclusion, Ostaria Castello 43 can be defined as that place where a simple lunch can be transformed into a wonderful (and tasty) culinary experience.

On the occasion of my birthday we went to this wonderful place knowing that we had made the right choice. I already knew him and I knew he was a guarantee but the best thing was that they managed to amaze me and more and more every time! Starting from the warm welcome of the Host Tony with the cook Susy who made us sit at a delightful table where we could enjoy the characteristic adverts on the walls typical of these places. Then each dish was served with careful and exhaustive explanations and there was super attention for a diner who was celiac. Despite this, she also managed to appreciate a wide range of foods suitable for her diet! The beverage was also perfect, carefully selected by Tony who ended the evening in style by allowing us to taste some crazy desserts! A continuous sensation of explosions of flavor that sent the taste buds into raptures. For me it will always be a safe haven, a place where you feel at home. An immense warmth and pleasure. Thank you ☺️

Locale non facile da raggiungere, si trova nel borgo di Maranola, detto ciò piccolino e ben fatto.
Tipica osteria nel presentarsi, tuttavia nonostante il fascino e le aspettative che essa presenta manca quel rustico che dovrebbe esserci. Prolisso il cameriere nel spiegare piatti che alla fine sono semplici e come tali dovrebbero esser presentati.
Comunque nel complesso buon cibo e ambiente.

Ma anche un posto dove rilassarsi avvolti tra mura e volte di pietra di montagna in un clima sobrio e rustico. Si viene accolti dalla cordialità e disponibilità nella esposizione delle proposte della casa. Assolutamente da assaggiare nell' antipasto i formaggi al whisky, barolo, castagna e una dorta di gorgonzola. Cone primo abbiamo preso maccheroni al sugo di capra, spezzatino di cervo tenerissimo con polenta. Dopo il dessert la favolosa liquirizia di Toni. La cucina fi Emilia e Daniela ci ha fatto apprezzare la qualità delle materie prime sapientemente cucinate anche secondo la tradizione del territorio. Da tornare per assaggiare altre specialità...tante e tutte originali
