A quaint and welcoming restaurant in the village of Maranola, perfect for enjoying Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with local ingredients and well-prepared dishes. Generous appetizers, quality first and second courses with traditional flavors. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rustic atmosphere is truly special, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited!

I’m glad the search for lunch brought us up. The setting is beautiful. Just remember not to follow GPS the last 3 min up the steep and narrow slope but continue on the road with a left turn to public parking. The restaurant was very welcoming and super attentive in their service. We ordered the steak, pork chop and fettuccine with porcini, side vegetables with house red. Portions were generous and we liked best the side dish of mushroom/pumpkin/celeraic which was served cold. The steak was very well prepared as was the perfectly al dente fettucine. Pork chop could have been more moist with more Wish we had got a proper bottle instead of house as it seemed to have not been properly stored. But for the price of 5 euros one really cannot complain! Otherwise a very excellent meal. Wish we had more stomach for dessert as we wanted to try the house made tiramisu and cheesecake. Thank you for a good memory Osteria Castello 43!

An excellent restaurant serving home-style cuisine, located along a medieval-style staircase, a theme mirrored inside. Free municipal parking is available nearby. We tried the fantastic appetizers (minimum for two people), various first and second courses, desserts, and finally several liqueurs and amari (all unique). Everything was delicious, often with refined, timeless flavors. Prices are moderate, and reservations are practically mandatory.

I had dinner here tonight. The owner of the B&B where I'm staying recommended this tavern. The atmosphere is quaint, rustic, traditional, welcoming, quiet, and with limited seating. Sublime. The owner is always available to explain the dishes and ingredients offered, and is truly charming. The beautiful and kind waitress, too, recommended an excellent chocolate dessert. I'll definitely be back, thank you 🙏🏻 Highly recommended.

A wonderful experience! Flavors and aromas expertly paired! The appetizers, first courses, and second courses were truly superb. The venison main course was delicate and full of character. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.
