A family-run bar in the truest sense of the word: three generations working hard to satisfy their clientele, which is largely based on a core group of unique regulars, of which I am one. The classic bar where they greet you by name or, as in my case, by nickname. An excellent place to watch the game with a good beer. A tobacconist with a 24-hour vending machine outside. Excellent coffee and aperitifs.

06/07/2026: For 30 years, it's still the best Japanese restaurant in Milan. But yesterday the cirashi rice was worse than usual. TO ALL ANIMAL LOVERS: POPOROYA DOESN'T ACCEPT DOGS!!! Milan in 2026!!! We waited in the usual line, and finally the waiter told us they didn't allow pets and pointed to the bench... who knows how many two-legged beasts he'd have to leave outside! Too bad, my first Japanese restaurant (40 years ago) won't be my last! I'm discovering Ono Sushi Reserve on Via Broggi, it doesn't look bad, I'll write the review at the end, but in the meantime, I'm here with Bonnie 😍
28/06/2026: We've been going to Poporoya for years. The taste is still excellent, but despite the high prices, which we're happy to pay for their quality, they've definitely reduced the portion size. Before the change of location, one uramaki would fill me up. Now I finish it and I'm still hungry. Too bad...
