Osaka In Milano

After trying it 2 years ago we returned during the week, it seems to have changed management. The difference in service is profound. The food is excellent but for having spent €140 per person in my opinion it is not acceptable that both bottles of white wine were warm, €100 of white wine poured warm, no thanks. We also remembered the tasting menu. With the menu in hand we decide to take it for the table and only when ordering we are told that it should be ordered at least at midday for the evening, with plenty of notice. In a restaurant like this I would expect to be notified at least at the time of booking of this change. 2 years ago we ordered it on the spot. The portions are not abundant, so we decide to order extra nigiri during the meal. We are told that they have run out of rice. THEY HAVE RUN OUT OF RICE. Ok. It is time for dessert, we would like the Japanese dessert on the menu, the one with the egg. No way, that too is finished. The waiter also spoke Italian quite badly, they struggled to understand him. Too bad because the food was really good. I had another memory of it. Too bad.

What are the best sushi experiences that you can have in Milan. The stuff is mostly Japanese-speaking and very knowledgeable about the dishes. The fish quality is excellent and the atmosphere makes it feel like you are in Japan, not Milan.

Amazing food! I really enjoyed the unique selection. The pickled veggies are very refreshing. I also ordered the pork soba dish with raw egg and it was delicious. You pay for quality here since it’s not cheap, but worth every penny. Highly recommend

I hope to go to Japan this year to taste real Japanese cuisine.

Authentic Japanese, a bit hidden. The prices are a bit high, especially because the portions are small (2 tuna nigiri for €21…) but the quality is very high and the execution is perfect. Given the prohibitive prices of the fish, we ordered mostly tempura (really fragrant and crunchy) and ramen. I particularly loved the miso one with pork belly and bamboo. The pickled vegetables as an appetizer, the gyosa and the wasabi octopus were also good.

After trying several Japanese/sushi restaurants in Milan, today I went to Osaka for lunch. Beautiful atmosphere, I must say that the owners have created a real traditional Japanese setting. The food is of the highest quality (perhaps the best I have tried for quality/price ratio), I ate both gyoza and sushi dish, the fish was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately our table was in the room on the first floor, I would have liked to eat in the main room. Very friendly welcome, you can tell it is run by Japanese people. I will definitely go back to try eating at the counter.
