Orobistro – An aperitif with a view (but at what price!) If you are looking for an exclusive place to enjoy Rome from above, Orobistro is definitely an option to consider. Located on Palazzo Venezia, on the Altare della Pace, the rooftop offers a spectacular view that alone is worth the visit. Reservation required, luxurious lift and, once you arrive, an elegant welcome with reserved sofas and a round table. We had an aperitif with two drinks (gin and tonic at €28 and spritz at €22) and chips with truffle mayonnaise (€15). The service is attentive and they brought us appetizers and chips several times, but the quality of the food and cocktails did not live up to the price. Let's say it clearly: here you pay for the view, not the gastronomic experience. If you want to experience a special moment with a unique view of Rome, it may be worth it. If you are looking for an excellent aperitif for quality-price, better look elsewhere. Rating: 7/10.

Amazing location! However, it can be windy. Drinks are overpriced, service is mid and you need a reservation, otherwise there is no chance to get a seat. Enjoy the time there and reserve in advance!

We had the most wonderful experience at Oro Bistro while celebrating my sister’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The staff paid close attention to every detail, making sure our evening felt truly special. The food was nothing short of perfection. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, showcasing the chef’s dedication to quality and creativity. Wonderful spot in Rome with a great view. Just order a drink and enjoy a few hours there to take in the view and relax. There is a restaurant and bar option so depending where you like to sit, the menu is different. Definitely on the pricey side so if you’re on a budget, just order a drink and they will provide complimentary chips and nuts for you. It’s gets crowded later in the evening so reservations is suggested and easily done with open table app.

I've been to this rooftop several times, I think it has the best view of all the cocktail bars in Rome, it's crazy and the cocktails are delicious. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and ready to help you. I will definitely come back again!

Sull’attico di nh hotel. troviamo Oro Bistrot. Veduta sui Fori, e Vittoriano imperdibile, fantastica. Per la cucina , qualcosa da rivedere e migliorare visto anche il livello che si arroga. Burratina e prosciutto crudo improponibile, il prosciutto appena confezionato senza alcuna stagionatura, la burratina che non si può definire tale, senza offesa assomiglia più a plastica. il salmone improponibile allo stesso modo, non è un crudo, non è un marinato, non è un affumicato … sta lì, soia agli agrumi impercettibile, tartufo non pervenuto. Magari se proprio volgliono potrebbero usare olio al tartufo di una azienda che dovrebbero sicuramente conoscere. Tagliolino vongole e bottarga … vongole anonime senza sapore, bottarga non pervenuta. Guancia molto buona ma quantità esigua, veramente minimal. Visto l’appetito rimasto ho preso una amatriciana sicuramente buona.
