Delicious food with Valtellina products, fast, friendly, and very helpful staff.
The atmosphere is quite nice, but a bit rundown, but this restaurant is still a success.
The price isn't too high (about €20-30 per person, depending on your choice).

We just left, we ate divinely well, from the appetizer to the dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drink. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive to every customer's request, and above all, always with a smile, which is not something that is taken for granted.

A Valtellina restaurant in the center of Sondrio. Both the appetizers (cured meats, sciatt, and bresaola) and the pizzoccheri are excellent. The prices are fair, and the ingredients are typical of the area.

My husband, I, and our two children dined at this trattoria in the historic center of Sondrio on a Saturday evening in September.
The restaurant has a small glass veranda overlooking the square—simple but charming and well-lit—and a larger, but somewhat drab, and cheaply furnished interior (IKEA lamps, etc.).
The menu, like almost everywhere in Sondrio, is primarily based on local produce (bresaola, taroz, pizzoccheri, game, etc.).
We opted for an appetizer of bresaola, sciátt, and cabbage salad, followed by the traditional pizzoccheri, choosing a bottle of Rosso di Valtellina (Dirupi winery) from the somewhat limited wine list to accompany it all.
The bresaola was appreciable, the sciátt were well-fried and dry, and the pizzoccheri were unmemorable but good (special mention for the cabbage, which wasn't overcooked but was a bit crunchy, just how I prefer it).
The service was courteous, perhaps a little rushed, and the timing was right, with a fair bill.
Unfortunately, the lady at the cash register was a bit surly and rarely smiled, which affected my overall rating, because when I go somewhere to eat—whether a simple trattoria or a Michelin-starred restaurant—I like to be welcomed (and that's why I always smile!).
So, overall, I didn't have a bad meal, but I wouldn't recommend this place.

Trattoria near the center of Sondrio.
We had appetizers of sciat, bresaola, and other cured meats (truly excellent).
Then for the main course, the venison stew (also very tasty) and the tagliata, which, however, lacked a bit of oomph.
Overall, a nice place that I recommend.

Cena fi famiglia in centro a Sondrio, ci siamo fidati delle recensioni. Piatti tradizionali con porzioni abbondanti, buoni primi, ottima la tagliata e dolci super. Ottimo anche il vino. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo. Siamo stati soddisfatti.

Ci sono stato due sere a cena con la mia fidanzata. Personale sempre gentilissimo, ottimo servizio! Siamo stati in due dei tre ambienti differenti del locale, uno piu' ampio stile anni 70, l'altro piu' fine. Abbiamo cenato la prima sera dividendoci gli sciatt poi per me pizzoccheri e per lei arrosto con le mele. La seconda sera ho scelto il cervo in salmi', pizzoccheri per lei. Tutti i piatti sono stati sublimi, gustosissimi e molto abbondanti! Conti onesti! consigliatissimo!
