Olio Restaurant In Firenze

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I were in Florence, we tried to find places that offered authentic Italian food, with legion products and typical dishes of the place, the last night we arrived at this place where we were told that it was authentic Italian food and with products from the Tuscany region (I don't know if that's entirely true since we are not experts in Italian food), the thing is that my husband and I liked the food although it was the most expensive meal we ate in Florence it was also the one we liked the most, the treatment and attention were good and we had a nice evening.

Low value for money. Expensive but the food was very good.

I am a maitre d' in a 5 star hotel and I can assure you that it is very rare to find a place like this restaurant. Very good food, research of raw materials, passion in cooking and impeccable assembly of the dish. Then the care of the environment, of the service and the kindness and professionalism of Mr. Carlo. Many restaurants should take inspiration from this place. I absolutely recommend it to everyone!

The food is fantastic, from the appetizers (I highly recommend the cheese platter) to the main courses and desserts, everything is fantastic. 😊 The staff is also super friendly 👍 I'd go back anytime.

We dined at Olio for my wife's 50th birthday. This restaurant is exceptional from the welcome to the dessert. A warm, cosy setting and top-quality service, with special thanks to our waiter Christoforo for his recommendations, who delighted us with refined, top-quality Italian cuisine. The finest meal we have ever had in Firenze after 10 visits! Carlo’s food many based on his grandmother’s recipes was simply spectacular! We can’t wait to return in 10 days after our stay in Tuscany. His education and olive oil tasting is so unique. We felt like we were eating at his home. Bellissimo!!

Este restaurante es increíble en todos los sentidos. El propietario nos recibió personalmente, el personal de camareros era atento e increíblemente amable y la comida era excepcional. ¡Esto estará en nuestra lista cada vez que regresemos a Florencia!

Después de casi 30 horas en tránsito (debido a un largo retraso en el aeropuerto de Madrid) , nos rejuveneció nuestra comida en Olio. Elegimos el menú degustación de Leccino, que pensamos que tenía un precio razonable de 65 euros. Nos encantó el entrante de burrata fresca con anchoas, alcachofas y tomates secos al sol, y la sopa de guisantes de pollo de seda con bacalao y col (sé que suena como una combinación extraña pero funcionó totalmente. El branzino era encantador como nuestro segundo piatti y nos sorprendió lo mucho que nos gustó nuestro dolce, el pan toscano, que presentaba trozos crujientes y finamente rebanados del delicioso pan de masa madre que sirven con su comida, rociado con salsa de frambuesa fresca y en capas con una rica natilla de huevo. Christopher, nuestro servidor atento, agradable y extremadamente profesional, sugirió Adeo Bolgheri 2022 por Campo Allá Sughera, que fue una elección excepcional que combinó perfectamente con lo que pedimos. Christopher habla un inglés excelente y parecía apreciar mis esfuerzos para expresarme en italiano. El ambiente es agradable y relajante, y estoy bastante seguro de que éramos los únicos viajeros de Estados Unidos allí. Olio parece el tipo de restaurante que es frecuentado por los lugareños y no por los turistas. Excelente comida, ambiente y servicio a precios razonables. Tan feliz que nuestro be&be, Velona’s Jungle Suites lo sugirió como un restaurante de calidad en el barrio.
