Old Times In Sava

A truly enchanting place, with a well-maintained, clean environment and great music that relaxes you and lets you chat. The food is excellent, and the pizza is not only delicious but also light, with an excellent dough. A great value. It's my favorite place, and I bring my friends there every year. Kudos to the entire staff!

Wow, a food and wine experience beyond expectations, with staff service worthy of a 5-star superior luxury hotel. You can enjoy pizzas, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and coffee to finish. We especially thank Andrea, who served and recommended the dessert, which is homemade, as well as Clarissa, who took our order at the table. A special treat is a robot that serves the tables for orders of chips and croquettes. Draft beers, from pale to red. Two rooms, the main one and an internal one, pub-style. The photos speak for themselves. Ample parking outside the restaurant, even in the nearby streets. Thanks, we'll be back.

A new stop for "forchettina" (@forchetteinviaggio) in Sava, in the province of Taranto, this time the focus is on pizza from Old Times Pub (@oldtimes_pubpizzeria). Not just pucce, burgers, salads, and fried food, but a bakery that churns out wonders... if you're looking for a place where pizza combines attention to ingredients and perfection, then you've come to the right place. The dough is light, a sign of a long, slow leavening, and the rest is done by the toppings, all of which are top-quality and predominantly local, making every bite unique and deeply rooted in the land. Our choices were "la martinese" (capocollo dí Martina Franca, caciocavallo mozzarella from the Olivaro company) and "torre quaceto" (tomato stracciatella, basil and walnut pesto), paired with an excellent Leffe red on tap. It's not just the good food that makes Old Times a special place, but also the attention to detail and an atmosphere that transports you back to the 1920s, when a friendly robot serves you—a truly unique experience. The dessert selection is also good...for this occasion, we chose a delicious Kinder Bueno cheesecake. The bill is around €20-25 per person. In our opinion, Old Times can be considered a valid point of reference in Sava, a place that is seeing growth and diversification of its gastronomic offerings.

We often go to this wonderful place. I honestly don't understand the very few negative reviews. The pizza is excellent, with fresh, quality ingredients. On Saturdays, the wait can be longer, but not by much. Everyone we've told about the place and recommended the pizza has been satisfied and returned. As for the price, I'd rather spend a few euros more and eat well.
