Old Bear In Roma

I ordered red pepper steak, lasagna, and paella. I was traveling with my parents, who are in their 70s, and visited on the third day of our trip. The red pepper steak was cooked just as I requested, so even my parents, who prefer lean steak, could enjoy it without any problems. The lasagna was my parents' first time trying it, and they said it was delicious. The paella was truly... an excellent choice. Rice, like light and salt, was perfect for a moment when I was tired of pizza and pasta! My dad ate two-thirds of it... haha The vongole pasta I had at another restaurant the day before wasn't cooked properly, so I chewed on the stones. The clams I had here were cooked perfectly, and they were delicious. And of course, they were delicious. If you're traveling with your parents, and you're tired of pizza and pasta, you should definitely go here.

We tried the gnocchi and the truffle lasagna. Both were excellent!

We were lucky enough to discover this restaurant, where we enjoyed excellent cuisine, incredibly warm service, and a lovely atmosphere—so much so that we went back three times for dinner. Giorgia, in particular, and the rest of her family, made us feel right at home. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting this city. Restaurant with a pub-style decor. Dishes range from meat to fish. I'd been there a while ago, and nothing has changed. Excellent value for money, and considering it's located behind Piazza Navona, it's no small feat to find a quality, non-touristy spot.

It's one of the best in Rome. I first visited in 2008, again in 2013, and most recently at the end of January 2026. I am very happy to see that everything is the same as it was 18 years ago: the amazing food, the owners and the excellent service.

This restaurant is really great. The potatoes, the bread, and especially the tomato pasta are so delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can definitely choose this place.
