Let me start out by saying, I don't know if I've had bad pasta anywhere in Rome, so this definitely isn't outside the ordinary for my Rome restaurant reviews. They're on another level here! At the Old Bear, I had the Spaghetti amatriciana, caprese salad, muscles and tomato bruschetta. I guess the worst part was, the pasta was cooked just slightly north of al dente, but definitely was still delicious. The muscles tasted like they were same day caught, and the mozzarella was so incredibly fresh! The bruschetta wasn't anything to write home about, but it wasn't bad either. You definitely can't go wrong with Old Bear!

Dinner with friends, who have known the place for years.
Had mixed starters, and paella for everyone. Really everything is good, paella above all. Highly recommended!

First of all, it was the most delicious food I had in Rome and the best service :)
Truffle lasagna, steak, eggplant, and tomato topped toast? I ate it and everything was really great.. Especially the lasagna was really delicious. I recommend it~~
The food is delicious, but the staff are really friendly, making this restaurant even better!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Delta flight attendant, she travels to Rome twice a month and spends 36 hrs each time. We called that afternoon and got a 7:30 reservation and said yes when they asked if we wanted to be seated outside. Everyone that walked up after us were turned away without a reservation.
The lasagna with truffle crème sauce was excellent, one of the best dishes of a 9 day trip. The large gnocchi were really good also. Service was good, prices reasonable. If and when I go back to Rome we will dine there again.

Un accueil chaleureux, une déco très sympa dans une petite ruelle proche de la piazza novana. Les lasagnes sont fantastiques et le service est rapide. Les tarifs tout à fait corrects. Une belle adresse à recommander sur Rome.
