O'fiore Mio In Faenza

A few mosquitoes...but then a gecko took care of it

We visited Fiore Mio in Faenza on a July evening. The place is welcoming and well-maintained, but extremely noisy: an evening spent at the table risks turning into a bit of an acoustic challenge. A few sound-absorbing panels would really make a difference. We ordered a Marinara (the dough cannot be changed) and a Parmigiana with three consistencies. I received the pizza first, while Giorgia 🍑 had to wait an additional three minutes—nothing serious, but noteworthy for a place that focuses on a refined experience. The Parmigiana is one of the gourmet pizzas offered: beautiful to look at, but a bit thin in the center and with a slightly undercooked sensation inside. The Marinara, on the other hand, stands out for the quality of the tomato, truly remarkable, but overall it didn't impress us as much as we expected, given the rave reviews we'd received previously. We spent €36.50 for two (two pizzas, water, and a Coke), a price in line with gourmet pizzerias, but one that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth given the less than satisfying experience. In short: a well-intentioned place, but overrated, at least in our experience. There's room for improvement both in the management of the space and in the balance of the pizzas.

Each pizza is prepared with care and meticulousness, it seems like a work of art. Variety and tasty offer. It was a pleasant evening.

Very positive experience for the gourmet pizza, the excellent beer and the young and friendly and cheerful staff. Nice atmosphere.

Great for group gatherings and tasting various pizzas already sliced. Each slice is individually seasoned which increases the taste. They also have some excellent accompanying beers, including a very good IPA.

Nothing to say about the pizza. As always superlative. But I noticed a different service. Less cared for, a little lack of customer care. The dining room staff...a little absent. Too. I hope it's a coincidence.

Pizzeria alle porte di Faenza, ambiente caldo e conviviale. Qui potete trovare ottime pizze gourmet! Le pizze non sono molto grandi, ma alveolate con un morbido cornicione, molto ben farcite! E sono molto leggere. È possibile scegliere tra diversi tipi di impasti. Conto un po' salato, ma non sono pizze classiche. È possibile acquistare anche biscotti e altre sfiziosità da portare a casa.

Locale che non ha bisogno di presentazioni in quanto è famosissimo in tutta la Romagna per i diversi premi ricevuti. Ovviamente non si poteva non provarlo. Fatta questa premessa è scontato che le aspettative fossero altissime. Il locale era affollato fin dall' apertura, questo sicuramente è una conferma della loro notorietà. Con la consegna del menù, viene spiegato sia come funziona il percorso degustazione sia le proposte più classiche. Noi abbiamo optato per prendere ciascuno la propria pizza, pertanto siamo stati avvisati che l'attesa sarebbe stata più lunga. Veniamo alle pizze perché c'è tanto da dire: la mia è arrivata sbagliata perché mancavano le alici ( e se devo essere onesta era un po' bruciacchiata nel bordo), decido comunque di non farla rifare per intero ma di fare aggiungere solamente le alici. Nell insieme comunque è stata di mio gradimento anche perché gli ingredienti erano di qualità. Guardando le altre pizze si possono notare altre imprecisioni: la margherita risultava un po' acquosa, le pizze gourmet non proporzionate sia visivamente che all' assaggio. Nel complesso quindi un esperienza discreta, con qualche accorgimento in più essa potrebbe davvero essere top.
