I'm very uncertain about how to rate this restaurant because it was a bit of a strange experience. We ate well: pizzoccheri and gnocchi well cooked, hot, normal; it was all written on the menu and the prices are decidedly honest (it's true, if you want bread or parmesan cheese you have to pay more, but in other restaurants you forget about €12 per dish). The service was very fast (we waited maybe 10 minutes after ordering). The strange thing, however, was seeing a very nervous waitress (she was alone) running from one side to the other shouting "wait, be patient" and sending people away just because there was a bit of a wait when no one, I repeat no one, told them. pressured of any kind. Certain things must be said with a smile on the lips without making customers uncomfortable. In my opinion, she did everything alone and unfortunately she partly ruined what would have been an absolutely pleasant experience for me and my boyfriend. In short, relations with the public should be reviewed a bit because at a certain point, despite having been treated well, we just wanted to leave, and I think it was the same for those who were in the restaurant at that moment.

Place off the main street, but well signposted.
We came across this restaurant by chance, during a trip with friends, and I must say that it was a wonderful discovery, cuisine with homely flavors and a traditional location.
We took the house menu with handmade casoncelli and stracotto with polenta. Price more than fair for the good quality of the cuisine.
We were lucky enough to chat with chef Stefano, a person of great culture and passion.
We just recommend a little patience as there is only one person in the room who follows the orders and dishes.

We came to Bergamo from Verona for a day trip.
Walking along the streets of the upper city we found this place outside the chaos of the city, after a few moments of waiting we managed to get a table for 4.
We took the meat menu, artisan Casoncelli with stracotto sauce and Stracotto with Polenta, all accompanied by the house red wine.
We liked the dishes, simple and good, with a homemade flavour.
The restaurant is comfortable, personalized with many objects that recall the passions of the owner and chef of the restaurant, Stefano, an exquisite person.
I recommend having patience as the place does not reserve tables and the room is managed by a single person who takes care of everything and everyone, super overloaded but available and always on point.
