Opens at 1, fills up quickly- you will not get a table if you arrive late for lunch! Delicious and affordable food. Love the vibe. So Napoli. Had the mixed calamari salad and the small octopus spaghetti. Get an espresso after. You pay after you eat inside with the mama

Otabaccaro is a rare pearl in the Borgo Marinaro of Naples. In a place where many restaurants have bowed to the logic of mass tourism, Otabaccaro remains faithful to tradition and authenticity. Here you will not find tourist-catching dishes or unnecessarily inflated prices, but a restaurant that maintains an excellent quality-price ratio, without compromise. The food is always delicious, prepared with care and served with that genuine kindness that makes the experience even more pleasant. The cloth tablecloths, the impeccable cleanliness and the simple but welcoming atmosphere make you feel immediately at home. The "calamarelle" are a real delight, and the variety of dishes satisfies all palates. If I have to take someone to Naples to let them taste the real Neapolitan cuisine, I take them to Otabaccaro. It is always full, which is already a sign of quality, and the waiters are always kind and attentive. A restaurant that deserves a nice 10 and praise for its great Neapolitanness and simplicity. Be wary of the many “super-tourist” restaurants that populate the Borgo Marinaro. They are not all like this, but it is easy to fall into the traps of places that aim more to fleece tourists than to offer an authentic experience. In the Borgo there is good (tradition), but there is also disgusting. If you don’t know the place, read the reviews: here you can get big, big rip-offs. But if you are looking for the real Naples, Otabaccaro is a sure thing.

Mi dispiace scriverlo, ma non ho avuto una bella esperienza da o'tabaccaro. Siamo capitati con un cameriere dei 3 presenti molto arronzone e sfaticato (tra l'altro andato via prima che pagassimo il conto che mi ha aggiunto un secondo in più sul conto finale che non avevamo ordinato e che ho pagato lo stesso...) e ci siamo alzati da tavola con fame perchè le porzioni erano un pò misere. Spero che non sia per il meschino scopo di ordinare più cose per essere sazi ed avere un conto più salato... Ripeto mi dispiace ma è andata cosi.

Personale cordiale ed efficiente, servizio veloce e piatti gustosi!!!! Se torneremo a Napoli torneremo sicuramente anche in questo ristorante!!!
