O Guarracino In Centola

A beautifully situated restaurant with a sea view and fresh fish. That, however, already covers all the positive aspects. The prices are relatively high and inversely proportional to the taste experience. €18 each for a plate of spaghetti with a handful of vongole, which failed to add any flavor to the dish, and "paccheri with octopus ragù" (dish special), which was also mediocre. The grilled plate with a meager five pieces of fresh fish (a cuttlefish, a small slice of swordfish, three small shrimp) for €24 was definitely not good value for money. This can hardly have been because good service was factored into the price, as the service only deserves its one point for being at least somewhat friendly. The wine arrived at the table already opened and, consequently, was neither offered to taste nor poured. The cutlery I used for the pasta wasn't replaced, the plates weren't cleared until I had pointedly stacked them, the mixed green salad with tomatoes came without tomatoes, and bread (after all, you pay for it in the coperto) was only served upon request. All in all, not recommended.

Abbiamo pranzato sul terrazzino esterno, direttamente sul mare. Cibo buonissimo e personale molto gentile. Rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo.

Family-run restaurant in the port of Palinuro. Very fresh and well cooked fish. Cilento dishes. I've been going there for decades.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are brand new, beautifully decorated and have fantastic sea views. You basically live on the beach. The service is very personal and familiar. Breakfast on the terrace is wonderfully relaxed. We also had a very good meal in the restaurant.
