NoNoja Cafe In Cerreto guidi

Nonoja Cafe On monday we headed to Empoli to visit my friends family cafe Nonoja. Here not only did we have a fabulous afternoon in their company but we enjoyed some amazing food and wine. The cafe is set on an industrial estate and all the locals head straight to nonoja for lunch. They also do deliveries to all the local businesses. When we arrived the family came out to welcome us with open arms. We had a little chat with the team before being seated for lunch. It wasn’t very long before the cafe was full with over one hundred customers and as we found out it was not hard to see why because the food is not only delicious but excellent value for money. We started with an aperol spritz before the festivities began. First to arrive was the amazing Artichokes followed by a stunning Linguine Vongole. They then wanted us to try the Olio Aglio Pepperoncino Pasta and it was delicious. Next to arrive was the Bacalao with sweet leeks followed by the fried Rabbit with potatoes. We then enjoyed a fantastic main course of Beef Stew with spinach all washed down with an amazing Barbanera Toscana. We finished with a coffee before enjoying some time with the team. This gave us the opportunity to Thank them all for a wonderful afternoon of great food and wine. It’s really no surprise to see why this cafe is so popular and if you’re ever near the area I would highly recommend popping in for lunch.
