A unique place for the quality of the food, but the service needs to improve. Perhaps a little more organization is needed, and perhaps even a few more staff. Gluten-free options are also available. Well done.

Excellent food, especially their gnocco fritto: the best I've ever had in Reggio Emilia... spectacular! The atmosphere is impeccably maintained, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable... we'll be back soon.

Rustic but nice atmosphere, courteous and present staff, slightly undersized the staff we were a group of 50 people and we had to wait a bit. Appetizer cheeses with compote and erbazzone, fried gnocco and tigelle, very good mixed salami, for dessert chocolate cake with ice cream. The cost per person is slightly high (34 €) but it's worth it.

I had dinner at Nonno Contadino with a table of over 30 people. Abundant and tasty appetizer with fried gnocco, erbazzone and cured meats. Two first courses to taste, good, even if one was a bit too full of saffron. Coffee included, wine not included. Fair price: €37 per person. Be careful if you dine outside: flies at the aperitif and mosquitoes in the evening, better to bring repellent. Fast staff and large spaces, ideal for groups. Pleasant evening!

02/08/2025: There aren't many restaurants in the area. I asked the Enel workers, and they recommended it. Simple place. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was good and the price was right. Have a nice stay.

19/10/2025: The food is excellent, original, and carefully crafted: unusual flavor combinations with very balanced and well-chosen pairings. Even the bread is special: excellent flour and sourdough. We had an erbazzone with artichokes accompanied by oriental giardiniera (with pieces of ginger and lotus flower chestnuts), a delicious shukran (cod meatballs served with crispy chickpeas, lettuce, sweet and sour onions, chickpea puree, and turmeric bread triangles), and a pesce passatello, or passatelli with fish ragù, clams, and lemon zest: extraordinary. Finally, a delicious apple pie with vanilla ice cream and a dusting of cinnamon. Excellent portions, attentive service, quiet and relaxing, and a charming venue with its imaginative and original decor. A place to return to.
