Hasta Siempre serves good, down-to-earth food. They also offer a comprehensive menu with vegetarian and vegan dishes. The ambiance is unique, and we enjoyed our visit twice.

We were lucky to stay opposite this bar when we visited Catania for a few days. The atmosphere, drinks, and food were all excellent. Highly recommended.

I got this address via Google, online it looked nice and a bit less touristic than the rest of downtown. I am travelling alone and got a table in a bit of a dark corner. Menu is simple and very clearly state they don't do aranchini, pizza or canoluli, which is funny. I ordered eggplant parmigiano and a salade Caprese. both were ok (but in Italy great or even amazing food are just as readily available). The evening weather was nice, a glass of local wine and things are looking great quite easily. I think I was too much in a corner to get the attention of the staff to pay so I walked over after a bit. Again the most appealing aspect was the 'off the beaten track thing

A dream location, on scenic staircases, and next to Sicilian Baroque churches, more than four on the same street, close to each other.

The place is truly charming; it feels like home.
I'd read reviews that mentioned a musical atmosphere, so I was perhaps expecting a little more liveliness that evening.
As for the food, the tomatoes were a little lacking in flavor for my taste, and I would have liked a burrata with a little more flavor.
That said, the olives, basil, and olive oil were excellent and very aromatic!

Hasta Siempre is a small Catanian hideaway, far from the bright lights (and high prices) of tourist areas. Here, the focus is on honest food and conviviality, with a mom-and-pops atmosphere that many appreciate. If you enjoy simplicity, a good bottle of wine, and the feeling of a place frequented by locals, this is the place for you!
