Since we arrived on the first Sunday of the month, admission was free. I estimate our visit time was 3.5 hours. Almost all the exhibits, except for one exhibit on the ancient world, are on one track. You basically go through everything in a sort of assembly line, so there's no chance you'll miss anything. The room with Leonardo's frescoes was disappointing. Other than that, a must-see. Maybe even for a return visit, after "homework" on the meaning of the works and their context.

The Chiosco al Politico is a Milanese institution located in Piazza Castello, right in front of the majestic Sforzesco Castle. Founded in 1991 by Claudio Scalzotto, this kiosk has managed to stand out in the city's gastronomic panorama thanks to an original idea: dedicating each sandwich to an Italian political figure.
Context and Atmosphere
The strategic position of the kiosk offers a privileged view of the Sforzesco Castle, making it an ideal destination for both visiting tourists and residents looking for an informal lunch break. The atmosphere is convivial and relaxed, with the possibility of having a meal on the outdoor tables arranged in the picnic area adjacent to the castle walls.
Gastronomic offer
The menu boasts a selection of 86 sandwiches, each named after a different politician, offering a wide range of flavor combinations. Among the most popular proposals, the “Berlusconi” sandwich stands out, recommended by numerous customers. In addition to sandwiches, the kiosk also offers appetizers such as Ascolana olives, fried mozzarella, chips and nuggets, with prices ranging from 8 to 10 euros.
Hours and Service
The kiosk operates every day from 10:00 to 1:00 am, serving around 300 sandwiches per day. The staff is known for their friendliness and prompt service, ensuring a pleasant experience even during peak hours.
Conclusion
Il Chiosco al Politico represents an obligatory stop for those who want to enjoy a quality sandwich in a historical and evocative context. The creativity of the menu, combined with the fascinating location, makes this kiosk a symbol of the Milanese culinary tradition.

Sforzesco Castle (Castello Sforzesco) is a remarkable historical landmark in Milan that offers visitors a captivating journey through the city’s rich past. Originally built in the 15th century by the Sforza family, this impressive fortress now houses several museums and art collections, making it a must-visit for history and art lovers alike.
The castle's architecture is stunning, with its imposing towers and fortified walls standing as a testament to Milan’s medieval history. Walking through the expansive courtyards gives a sense of the grandeur and significance of the Sforza family, who once ruled the city. The grounds are well-maintained, and the surrounding Sempione Park adds a peaceful, green backdrop.

Even if you decide to not go in, there is still a lot you can see! You can go see the inner courtyards, or walk right through it to reach the beautiful park and the Arc of Triumpf
