Naumachia In Roma

The food was great at a decent price given the location. Quattro fromagi pizza was delicious and caccio a pepe were good too. Service was quick although a little cold, which I don’t mind. I’d highly recommend for anyone looking for a good spot of lunch around the colosseum.

Great place for larger groups! The host was very accommodating, flexible, and quick to respond to emails. We were served a three-course menu that fit our budget, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

This was the best meal I’ve eaten in Rome. My Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe was delicious but Lasagna that my mum had was absolutely exquisite, the best meal she ate in a very long time, she said. Their wine was also really great.

The restaurant is located in a neighborhood with a high concentration of restaurants, some well-known and well-known, others newer. I chose "Naumachia" for its location and the availability of outdoor seating. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes and pizzas. I chose only one portion of fried anchovies (fresh and cooked to perfection). The first courses, however, were not up to par: spaghetti with clams was overcooked, garnished with very few clams but, in return, full of oil (I had to move it to another plate to "free" it). I left the spaghetti because it wasn't up to par (the dish cost 22 euros). The other first course I ordered was a very simple plate of tagliatelle with tomato and basil; the tomato had a sweetish aftertaste. A bottle of wine, a bottle of water, a coffee, total 86 euros. It's a shame; a restaurant in such a pleasant area of ​​Rome should do much better.

I recently went to this restaurant for pizza and I have somewhat mixed feelings. The pizza itself was quite okay, though nothing particularly memorable—it tasted rather average. The place was also quite chilly, which made it a bit difficult to enjoy comfortably. The service was okay, though it could have been a bit more engaging and smiling. Overall, it wasn't bad, but nothing exceptional either—a solid 3/5.
