Naumachia In Roma

I loved this spot! The food was very good and so was the service. I found the prices very affordable. Two main courses, an appetizer and two drinks (soda) went for €50. One of the staff actually tried to help us understand the parking system a couple hundred feet away from the restaurant!

We visited the restaurant after receiving social media recommendations highlighting the family's artisanal fresh pasta and affordable prices. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. It's prudent to question reviews posted on platforms like TikTok or Instagram, as the culinary judgment of some content creators can be subjective and not always reliable. We ordered a pizza, a pasta dish, and a lasagna, the latter for a child under one and a half years old. The lasagna pasta was overcooked, disintegrating upon contact, which contradicts Roman culinary standards, where al dente cooking is essential unless otherwise instructed by the customer. The pizza, a four-cheese variety, was bland. Given this was Italy, we expected a combination of high-quality cheeses that would offer a memorable taste experience; however, the cheeses used lacked flavor and quality, resulting in a notable disappointment. The pasta dish, advertised as fresh and artisanal, also failed to live up to expectations. Far from offering an explosion of flavor, its taste was bland and didn't reflect the promised quality. In short, the experience was disappointing in every way, leading us to opt for dessert elsewhere, given our lack of confidence in the quality of the desserts after the main courses. On the positive side, the restaurant offers highchairs for families with babies.

Reasonably priced, good food. A party of 9, 4 adults 5 kids was 170 Euros.

Their Bucatini All' amatriciana was so good I had it 2 nights in a row!

We had two Bruschettas, lamb chops and Ragout. Everything was good. I was blown away by the lamb chops. Please try it guys, you will not regret it. We will come back for sure.

Incredible food, very friendly waiters, except that the tables are separated by 10cm if it reaches, and it is very annoying to hear other people's conversations perfectly, everything else is 10/10

A due passi dal Colosseo, il ristorante Naumachia è una vera e propria gemma per chi desidera immergersi nei sapori autentici della cucina romana e toscana. L’atmosfera è accogliente e curata nei dettagli, con un perfetto equilibrio tra tradizione e raffinatezza. Il menù è un viaggio tra piatti ricchi di gusto e storia: dalla carbonara cremosa e saporita, al cacio e pepe perfettamente bilanciato, fino alla fiorentina alla brace che si scioglie in bocca. Ogni piatto è preparato con ingredienti di prima qualità, e si sente tutta la passione dello chef in ogni boccone. Il personale è giovane figo gentilissimo, attento e professionale, sempre pronto a consigliare il vino giusto o raccontare l’origine dei piatti. Un servizio impeccabile che rende l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Naumachia è il posto ideale sia per una cena romantica che per una serata tra amici o in famiglia. Se siete in zona Colosseo, non potete assolutamente perdervelo. Ci tornerò sicuramente!
