Lovely local find! We walked-in right when the shop opened. Really friendly staff who checked in on us and gave recommendations without sounding pushy or hurried. The Florentine steak is a must-try. Even my steak-averse partner loved it. Also get the pear-stuffed pasta with gorgonzola sauce, and dont miss their tiramisu.

Trattoria Fiorentina, with a capital "F": traditional food that makes you feel like you're spending Sundays at your grandparents' house. The best Tuscan crostini nero I've ever had in the city. The steak is the same, plus a wine selection that perfectly complements the culinary offerings.

It's a very nice restaurant, a good balance of modern and traditional. We booked online. If you are vegetarian or otherwise fussy I would recommend looking at an updated menu or visiting earlier in the day to check as the menu changes periodically. I think there were 3 vegetarian options from the main courses which all sounded nice. We both had the gorgonzola and pear fiocchini which was delicious, as well as two desserts (tiramisu and Panna cotta) which were lovely and light.

I had lunch with an excellent grilled rib-eye steak and crostoni with cavolo nero and beans. The dessert, made by the owner, was excellent! Excellent service. The wine cellar is small but has good wines. The frescoed dining room is charming, and the other room is traditional, filled with photos of famous people who have undoubtedly dined here.

14/06/2025: An authentic Florentine experience: not to be missed! We went to Osteria dell’Oca and we left enthusiastically! The appetizer started with a bang: off-menu zucchini flowers, fried to perfection with a light and crunchy batter, simply delicious. Next, the pici cacio e pepe: creamy, tasty, perfectly cooked. For the second course we couldn’t help but try the tagliata: very tender, cooked to perfection, with a strong but balanced flavor. The real star, however, was the prisoner’s dish — lampredotto, boiled tripe and tongue — a truly mystical experience for the palate. Authentic and intense flavors, a dive into the most genuine Florentine tradition. All accompanied by two excellent glasses of Chianti that enhanced each course. A special applause goes to the manager: a true host from another era, welcoming, warm, who makes you feel at home from the first moment. Really exceptional quality/price ratio. A place where you eat well, feel good and come back willingly.
