Careful service, not excessively formal, from a brilliant guy. If he notices that the glass is almost empty, he pours you the wine. Totally underground place, without windows, but far from being gloomy or damp. A lot of work has certainly been done to make it pleasant in terms of temperature and air quality. The furnishings and equipment are in a minimal style: tablecloth and cloth napkins in neutral tones, cutlery and double glass. The only small flaw is a chipped glass, which however does not affect the quality of the evening. Let's move on to food. Small welcome entrée with a scoop of Russian salad, bread, focaccia and breadsticks, then the first courses arrived. Two tagliolini, one with sausage ragout, very tasty, and one with butter and black truffle. There is a separate list for the dishes that can be ordered with truffles, on this occasion only black: it was very fragrant and plentiful on the plate, worth the money spent. The meat-based second courses consisted of a braised pork neck that melted in the mouth and a very tender, medium-cooked shoulder fillet. The shoulder fillet is a rarity and I appreciated it. For both dishes, a side dish of baked potatoes and carrots, well cooked and flavored with aromatic herbs. For dessert we had a Basque cheesecake (just the right amount, more would be heavy for me) and a cup of cream ice cream with sauces and crumbled biscuits. The ice cream was full of lemony aromas and with an excellent consistency. Wide choice of wines, we took a young, soft Barbera, which at the end of dinner was corked and given to us in a bag to finish at home. Unfortunately in many places it seems like a burden to have to close the leftover wine for the customer, this is not the case! Bill commensurate with the quality of what we ate and the service: around €50 each, excluding wine. There is the possibility, in my opinion convenient, to choose the complete tasting menu for €40, interesting for those who want an overview of Piedmontese cuisine.

Excellent restaurant in Alba
I went to this restaurant for lunch with my girlfriend during a weekend in Alba. The restaurant is located in an underground area of the historic center of the Piedmontese city. The entire environment has exposed stone walls and beautiful vaults. After ordering we were served an entrée of Russian salad with bread. breadsticks and focaccia. I had a plate of plin ravioli stuffed with 3 roasts and Castelmagno cream. I found the stuffed pasta very good and very tasty in this combination. To follow I opted for a fassona tartare with freshly grated white truffle. The meat was fantastic and the aroma of the truffle enhanced the taste. I accompanied it with a glass of Nebbiolo. The prices are honest for the very high quality of the products offered. An experience worth trying, especially during the white truffle period.

Sono stato in questo ristorante per pranzo con la mia ragazza in occasione di un fine settimana ad Alba. Il locale si trova in una zona sotterranea del centro storico della città piemontese. Tutto l'ambiente è con i muri in sassi a vista e bellissime volte. Dopo aver ordinato ci è stato servito un’entrée di insalata russa con pane. grissini e focaccia. lo ho preso un piatto di ravioli al plin ripieni ai 3 arrosti con crema di castelmagno. Ho trovato la pasta ripiena buonissima e molo gustosa in questo abbinamento. A seguire ho optato per una tartare di fassona con tartufo bianco grattato al momento. La carne era fantastica e il profumo del tartufo ha esaltato il gusto. Ho accompagnato con un bicchiere di Nebbiolo. I prezzi sono onesti per l'altissima qualità dei prodotti proposti. Un'esperienza da provare, soprattutto nel periodo del tartufo bianco.

Il locale, composto da cinque sale ipogee trova uno sviluppo completamente sottoterra nel cuore di Alba. Sicuramente d'impatto: risulta essere splendido e accogliente, arredato con gusto e attenzione ai dettagli. Accoglienza cordiale e professionale. Servizio impeccabile. Menù molto curato che strizza l'occhio ai prodotti tipici delle langhe. La qualità del cibo risulta essere molto buona. Prezzo finale corretto. Sicuramente consigliato.
