I go here often and have always had good food! The staff is very kind and helpful...especially Benedetta, "aka Federica :-)), the girl who serves tables, who is always friendly and hilarious! Highly recommended

I think Mr. saggio restraunt was the best blessing of staying in the Ponte milvio location. My wife and me had a real taste of authentic italian dishes. My favourite were the margherita pizza, la melansana and chip. Highly highly recommended and this is one of our favourite italian restaurants.

A truly special, family-run restaurant! We had dinner here twice during our stay in Rome and tried different dishes each time — everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The warm hospitality made it feel like home. Highly recommend Mr. Saggio!

We go to this restaurant quite often because it's located (on Ponte Milvio) just steps from a beautiful promenade along the Tiber, and the food is decent. The cuisine is light and imaginative, but a bit pricey considering the simple setting. Today, we were disappointed: we chose a first course of the day from the blackboard (which didn't list the price) each and drank still water: €48.00. The first course was a risotto (flavorless and quite overcooked, it seemed reheated) dominated by broccoli. Then there were four red prawns that didn't taste particularly fresh... basically, it seemed like a dish made from leftovers!

We always go there when we cycle along the Lungotevere. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent service, good food, and reasonable prices during weekday lunchtime.

I only had a carbonara, which was good, and a gelato. They treated me like their best customer. The tables are served by a blonde girl with a bun, who exudes courtesy and empathy every time she speaks; there's also a guy of about 35, with a beard, who is profoundly kind and friendly. I would like them to be friends. Great. Plus, the prices are very fair.

On a scorchingly hot day, we found a cool and welcoming place, with friendly and helpful staff. We ordered several starters, generous and delicious in their simplicity! A gricia, carbonara, and matriciana; for a delicious main course, a Roman pinsa with burrata, mortadella, and chopped pistachios...what can I say, fabulous! Highly recommended!

27/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant the day before yesterday, a small group of friends, including an Englishman and a vegetarian. The daily menu is very simple: it offers an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, traditional Roman first courses, and grilled meats. The surprises come in the dishes not on the printed menu, namely the chef's suggestions, which are therefore different every day, according to the seasons and the inspiration of the day. The chef's appetizers are amazing; one portion is enough for two, and the quantities are enough to already be considered a dinner. We had fried pizzelle with ragù (plus a small fried calzone with mozzarella and zucchini flowers for the vegetarian version), filo pastry baskets with ricotta, croquettes and supplì (homemade), breaded and fried spaghetti frittatas, burrata, meatballs, Danish rolls... such a variety of small dishes and foods that I'm surely forgetting something. The first courses were also very good (ravioli with ricotta and saffron, spaghetti with Tagalog olives, stracciatella, and almonds) and the sliced ​​steak. The dessert was a fitting end: the tiramisu was excellent, and the baked bomb with custard was even better. A special mention goes to the two people who looked after us: a husband and wife, she serving, he the chef. I couldn't say which of the two was kinder and more helpful, both attentive and with a huge smile throughout the evening.
